What goes into the system

Smart access control. Keyless smart locks with unique codes per family member or guest, remote lock and unlock from anywhere, video intercoms to see and speak with visitors, and automated gate control.
Smart-home integration. Security that talks to the rest of the house: lights come on when motion is detected, cameras record when the alarm fires, alerts hit your phone, and Away mode arms the system and adjusts the climate in one press.

Common questions

What is in a professionally installed alarm system?

A layered system rather than a few stick-on sensors. Perimeter protection (door and window contacts, glass-break detectors), interior protection (motion detectors), arming controls (keypads, key fobs, and the app), and usually cameras and smart locks tied in. We design the layout around your home so there are no blind spots, then integrate it with lighting, climate, and your automation system.

Wired or wireless sensors, which is right for my home?

It depends on the home. New construction gets wired sensors and cameras during the low-voltage rough-in, the most reliable and invisible approach with no batteries to change. Finished homes usually get wireless sensors to avoid opening walls, with wired cameras where cable can be run. Most retrofits are a mix. As a licensed low-voltage trade we do both, and on a new build the alarm rough-in lands with the rest of the wiring under one trade.

Does the alarm integrate with Control4, smart locks, and Alarm.com?

Yes. The system is built to work with your smart home, not sit beside it. Alarm.com ties the panel, sensors, cameras, locks, lights, and thermostats into one app, and Control4 or Crestron can run security as part of house-wide scenes. Motion can trigger lights, an alarm can trigger recording, and Away can arm everything and set back the climate in one press.

Are you licensed to install and permit alarms in Kansas?

We permit, install and certify the alarm ourselves rather than handing it to a national provider like Vivint or Brinks. Licensing and permit requirements differ by jurisdiction across the metro, and we handle the filings for your address as part of the install. The same trade that wires the house sets up the alarm, and one company owns the warranty.

Do I have to use your monitoring?

No. Professional 24/7 monitoring through Alarm.com is available and recommended, but optional. You can run the system self-monitored with app alerts and add professional monitoring later without changing hardware.
