What goes into the room

Launch monitor. Foresight GCQuad (camera-based), Uneekor EYE XO Lite (overhead camera and swing analysis), TrackMan iO (radar and camera), or Bushnell Launch Pro (entry). Ceiling or floor mount depending on model.
Impact screen and enclosure. Carl's Place Pro Series impact screens (13×10 typical), side netting and ceiling baffle, painted matte-black surround to reduce projector spill.
Projection. BenQ LK936ST or Optoma UHZ65LV 4K short-throw laser projectors — 5,000+ lumens, ceiling-mounted at a calculated throw distance so the image fills the screen without spilling onto walls.
Turf and tee pad. TourLinks fairway turf cut and installed to the room, TrueStrike Pro tee pad flush with surrounding turf, optional rough and bunker zones for short-game practice.
Smart-rule clearance analysis. 7-point check — min ceiling 10ft, min screen distance 12ft, projector throw fits screen, tee offset ≥3ft from side walls, swing-zone clearance for tallest user, enclosure required, turf flush with tee.
Sound and control integration. Distributed audio for course ambiance and commentary, Control4 / Crestron lighting scene tied to "Play" (lights down, projector on, screen down if retractable), HDMI matrix to put the sim view on the home TV system for spectators.
Software and play. Every build ships with simulation software loaded with hundreds of courses, driving-range and short-game practice modes, online and local multiplayer, and shot data detailed enough for a real club fitting. Practice year round, or host a nine-hole night with friends.

Common questions

How much does a golf simulator cost in Kansas City?

It depends on the launch monitor you choose, the room build — a finished basement is a different job from a new pool house — and how far the AV goes: projection only, or a room that doubles as a theater. Daniel measures the room at a no-cost site walk and gives a fixed price, not a range by email.

What launch monitor should I install?

Bushnell Launch Pro and SkyTrak+ are the entry tier, good for practice. Foresight GCQuad is camera-based and very accurate, the residential standard. Uneekor EYE XO Lite mounts overhead and is strong for swing analysis. TrackMan iO fuses radar and camera at tour grade. We install all four; the recommendation depends on the golfer — beginner, mid-handicap or scratch.

What about ceiling height and room dimensions?

Absolute minimum: 9-ft ceiling, 12-ft width, 16-ft depth — barely workable, only for tall users who can swing comfortably. Realistic minimum for general use: 10-ft ceiling, 14-ft width, 20-ft depth. Comfortable: 10-ft 6in ceiling, 16-ft width, 22-ft depth. Tour-grade with full backswing for a 6-3 user: 11-ft ceiling, 18-ft width, 25-ft depth. We do a swing-clearance analysis as part of every design — measured tee-to-screen distance, projector throw, ceiling height, side wall offsets per CEDIA and sim-builder rules.

Indoor screen vs outdoor / patio install?

Mostly indoor — impact screens take a lot of punishment and need controlled lighting for the camera-based launch monitors to read accurately. We have built one pool-house install with retractable patio enclosure but the room must still be sealed during play. Outdoor putting greens (synthetic turf) we do separately as landscape installs without the screen and projection.
