What we install

Ubiquiti UniFi UDM Pro or Pro Max router. Enterprise-grade routing in a residential form factor — VLANs, VPN, intrusion detection, full traffic insight.
UniFi Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points. U6-Pro, U7-Pro and U7-Pro Max — full coverage of the 6 GHz band, MLO on Wi-Fi 7. One access point per ~2,500 sq ft typical.
Outdoor access points. UniFi U6-Mesh and U7-Outdoor for backyards, pool houses and garages — same dashboard.
Managed PoE switching. UniFi switches sized to the house, with a PoE budget that covers access points, cameras, access readers and signage on one rack.
Structured cabling to every access point location and IoT zone. Cat6a CMP, properly terminated, certified to TIA-568 Class EA.
Four-VLAN standard. Main, IoT, Guest and Cameras. IoT cannot reach Main, Guest is captive-portal isolated, Cameras have no internet egress.
Remote-monitored. We see the network drop before you do, and we service the platform after the install.

Common questions

How much does whole-home Wi-Fi cost in Kansas City?

It depends on square footage and construction (plaster and stone eat signal), how much of the network is wired, and how many devices it must carry. Three access points in a finished home and a fiber backbone across an estate are different projects. A no-cost site walk produces a fixed price, not a range by email.

Why Ubiquiti UniFi specifically?

One dashboard for everything (router, switches, access points, cameras, access, doorbell, Wi-Fi clients, VPN), dealer-supported, predictable licensing (no subscription required for basic features), and the U7-Pro and U7-Pro Max access points are Wi-Fi 7 ready. It is the platform we design around, and we service it after the install.

Wi-Fi 6E vs Wi-Fi 7 — should I wait?

For KC residential, Wi-Fi 6E (U6-Pro / U6-Mesh) is the right pick today — the 6 GHz band gives you real headroom per access point, no congestion, and full coverage of the 6 GHz band that most devices now support. Wi-Fi 7 (U7-Pro, U7-Pro Max) adds MLO (multi-link operation) for sub-5ms latency on supporting devices — worth it if you already have Wi-Fi 7 client devices (a recent flagship phone, gaming PCs). The premium per access point is small, so we now install U7-Pro by default on new builds.

What about IoT segmentation?

Standard install: four VLANs. Main carries your laptops, phones and AppleTVs. IoT carries smart bulbs, smart locks and robot vacuums, and cannot initiate a connection to Main. Guest runs a captive portal with 24-hour leases and no LAN access. Cameras sit on their own VLAN with no internet egress. A fifth VLAN for kids is available if you want time-of-day scheduling.
