The room is a contractor’s job. Everything that makes it useful is ours. IntegrateIT, based in Overland Park, Kansas, designs and installs the electronics of panic rooms across the Kansas City metro: independent emergency communications to 911 and private security, biometric access control, surveillance with off-site recording, an independent network, climate and concealed AV. The integration layer (what we own)

• Concealed entry. When the brief calls for a room that reads as a wall, we coordinate a hidden door built into cabinetry, shelving, or paneling, with flush design-matched finishes and motorized RFID, keypad, biometric, or mobile access. The room stays invisible until it is needed.
• Backup power and hardened storage. Battery or generator backup so communications, surveillance and access keep running through an outage, plus optional hardened storage for documents, valuables or firearms.
• Independent duress communications. Hardwired POTS with cellular backup, and satellite where the brief calls for it. Connects to 911 dispatch and to the private security service of the owner’s choice, on a path independent of the main home network, so it keeps working if the rest of the house is compromised.
• Biometric access control. Multi-factor: biometric, keypad and key fob. Per-resident permissions. Audit log.
• Independent surveillance and off-site recording. Cameras and recorder on a network segment that survives main-network loss, with recording mirrored off-site to a cloud or a secondary location of the owner’s choice.
• Climate and ventilation control. Independent HVAC zone for the room (so external HVAC compromise can’t introduce contaminants).
• Concealed AV for comfort during extended occupancy. The room is not a closet — extended occupancy means TV, audio, lighting that’s actually pleasant.
