Omaha · Nebraska expansion market

Omaha · estate-scale integration, on our schedule.

Three hours north of our Overland Park design center, Omaha runs on a housing pattern we know well: older brick and stucco homes in the established neighborhoods near midtown, and estate-scale new construction spreading west toward Elkhorn and Gretna. Nebraska winters are harder than Kansas City's, which matters for anything mounted outside or living in an unconditioned space. Because of the distance, we book Omaha projects as concentrated trips so the crew works continuously rather than commuting. Design, procurement and programming are finished before anyone leaves Kansas.

Installing in Omaha

What is different about Omaha houses

Installing here is different because the trip structure changes the planning. When the crew is on site for a block of days, every decision has to be made in advance, so the site walk is longer, the drawings are more complete and equipment arrives staged rather than trickling in. That discipline actually produces a better install than a project spread thin over months. It also means we prefer to join new construction early, where our schedule and the builder's can be locked together well ahead of framing.

West Omaha's newer estates are large enough that coverage becomes the first engineering problem, not the last. A single router cannot serve a house of that footprint plus a shop, a gate and a back yard, so we run cable to each access point, size the switch for cameras and controls, and keep smart devices on their own lane. Getting conduit in during construction is far cheaper than trenching a finished yard. Lower levels in these homes usually have the height for a proper theater or a simulator bay.

The older neighborhoods closer to the center of the city ask for the opposite skill set. Brick, stucco and plaster walls, narrow chases and additions from several eras mean cable routes get traced before they get cut, and wireless lighting control frequently earns its place. Winter is the other constant: outdoor speakers, cameras and displays here need to be rated for real cold, and equipment should never live in a garage that freezes. We specify for the climate rather than for a catalog photograph.

Questions from Omaha homeowners

Why would we hire an integrator from Kansas City?

Because of how the work is structured, not in spite of it. Omaha projects run as concentrated trips: design, equipment and programming are complete before the crew travels, then they work continuous days on site. Daniel designs every system and walks every project. Ongoing support happens through remote monitoring, with hands-on visits folded into the next scheduled trip north.

How does support work when you are not local?

Many issues never need a truck. The network and control system are monitored, so we often see a fault before you call and correct it remotely. When something genuinely requires hands, we schedule it against our trip calendar. Every system carries a five-year workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranties on the products, and our support for as long as you own the system.

Will outdoor gear survive a Nebraska winter?

It will if it was chosen for it. We use outdoor speakers, cameras and displays rated for genuine cold, mount them where ice and snow load were considered, and keep the electronics in conditioned space rather than an unheated garage. Cable terminations outdoors get sealed properly. Winter is what exposes shortcuts, so we take none on the parts you cannot see.

We are building west of town. When should you be involved?

Before framing if possible, and certainly before insulation. On a house that size the pre-wire decides what is achievable later, and conduit run while the yard is open costs a fraction of trenching finished landscaping. We coordinate our trip schedule with your builder so rough-in happens in one pass and trim work lands after drywall.
