What it controls

Lighting. Lutron HomeWorks QSX, Lutron RadioRA 3, Crestron Horizon, Control4 OS3. Tunable-white circadian scenes, architectural keypads, no clutter.
Audio. Distributed multi-zone, Sonance and Triad in-ceiling, sources from Sonos, Roon, TIDAL or Apple Music, with per-zone source and volume from the app or a keypad.
Shades. Lutron Sivoia QS Triathlon, Crestron Shades, Hunter Douglas PowerView. Scene-tied (Movie = close all, Wake = open masters).
Climate. Ecobee Premium, Honeywell Prestige, Nest, Carrier Cor — multi-zone with per-room schedules tied to occupancy.
Pool, spa and irrigation. Pool and spa automation (pumps, heaters, water features, color lighting) and smart irrigation, controlled from the same app and folded into scenes, so Away can drop the pool temperature and pause the sprinklers while you travel.
Security and entry. Paradox monitored alarm, Ubiquiti Protect cameras and Access readers, DoorBird video intercom, August and Yale smart locks.
Theater and AV. Trinnov with Crestron or Control4 for a dedicated theater, Apple TV and Roku shared across rooms, and projector, screen and lighting on one scene button.

Common questions

How much does smart home automation cost in Kansas City?

It depends on how many systems join — lighting, audio, climate, shades, security — how many rooms they reach, and whether the house is under construction or finished. A starter that runs lights and music is a different project from an estate with a theater and sixty lighting zones. We give a fixed price after a no-cost site walk, not a range by email.

Control4 vs Crestron — which platform?

Control4 is the right answer for most homes: mature, broad device support, easy to live with. Crestron Home is the same hardware family as Crestron’s custom line with simpler programming. Custom Crestron is for the house where the owner wants the interface and the logic written for it. We install all three, and we service and take over existing Savant systems even though we are not a Savant dealer. The recommendation depends on the home and the owner.

What does the app do?

One app for lighting, audio, climate (Ecobee, Honeywell, Nest), shades (Lutron Sivoia, Crestron, Hunter Douglas), security (Paradox, DSC, Ubiquiti), cameras (Axis, Ubiquiti, Hanwha), entry (DoorBird, Ring Pro, August) and AV. Scenes — Wake, Day, Evening, Movie, Goodnight, Away — trigger across every subsystem. Works on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Android, with voice through Apple HomeKit or Alexa where you want it.

Do you do new construction and retrofit?

Both. New construction is the easier path — we coordinate with the GC and the electrician for low-voltage rough-in: Cat6a to every device, a structured wiring closet, a fiber backbone and smart-panel circuits. Retrofit is more constrained, so lighting often goes wireless on Lutron RA3, and audio on Sonos over the existing network, but we still pull wire for cameras and the theater where the house lets us.
