What’s different about how we install surveillance

On-site NVR, not cloud-only. Storage stays in your house. No monthly subscription. Higher recording quality. Zero loss if internet drops.
Integrated with the rest of the house. Camera feeds on Control4 touchpanels and on your phone, tied into lighting: driveway motion at night brings the entry walk up.
Concealed cabling. The same standard as our AV installs: wire in the wall before drywall on new construction, low-visibility surface conduit on retrofits.
Monitoring is optional. Surveillance alone is enough for most homes. Add 24/7 monitoring when you want a trained operator on the alarm side too.

Common questions

How much does a residential surveillance system cost in Kansas City?

It depends on camera count and placement, how much recording you want kept on site, and whether the cameras join a Control4 or Crestron system. We use 4K Ubiquiti or Hanwha cameras and on-site recorders with no monthly cloud subscription, and put the feeds on the same panel as everything else. A no-cost site walk produces a fixed price, not a range by email.

Do I need a monitoring service with residential surveillance?

Not for surveillance alone — the recorder runs 24/7 and you have full app access to live and recorded video. Monitoring is separate: it adds a trained operator to door, glass and motion alarms. We offer both, and describe the monitoring plans at the site walk.

Why on-site NVR instead of cloud storage?

Three reasons: no monthly cloud subscription, higher recording quality and frame rate, and nothing lost if the internet goes down. Cloud-only doorbell cameras have their place; for a 4K system covering a whole property, recording at home is the right answer.

Can the cameras integrate with my Control4 or Crestron system?

Yes — it is one of the things we do most. Camera feeds appear on Control4 touchpanels, on your phone through the Control4 app, and trigger lighting scenes: the driveway camera sees motion at night and the entry walk lights come on. Same pattern with Crestron.
