★Carried & Installed
Loewe televisions · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT carries and installs Loewe across the Kansas City metro — the German television line you specify when the room has to survive the screen being switched off. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Loewe is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Loewe dealer. What we are is the people who sit with the designer, plan the route, hide the cable and make it all work from one button. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What we carry and install from Loewe
Loewe writes its family names in lower case, which tells you most of what you need to know about the company. Its own catalogue splits into OLED and LED, and the families below are the ones it currently lists. We specify and install to order.
- stellar. Loewe’s flagship television family, which it describes with WOLED MLA — Micro Lens Array — and META panel technology, and which includes a very large smart-display model. This is the one that goes in a room designed around it.
- antares. A 4K OLED family Loewe sells on configurability — finishes and mounting chosen per room rather than per SKU. Loewe states that it builds the panel module itself in Kronach, Germany.
- iconic. The design-led family, in 4K OLED, for the wall where the television is meant to read as an object rather than as equipment.
- bild. Loewe’s longer-running family — bild i and bild v in OLED, bild c in a compact format — and still the name most people who know Loewe say first.
- vega, callas and We. by Loewe. The compact and more accessible end of the catalogue, for a guest room, a kitchen or an office where the design intent still matters but the room is not the centrepiece.
- klang audio. Loewe’s own sound range: the klang bar3 mr and klang bar5 mr soundbars, the klang sub1 and klang sub5 subwoofers, the klang mr1, mr3 and mr5 multiroom speakers, and the home.cinema sets. Honest note: where we are designing the room from the drawings we will usually put the money into architectural speakers instead, because in-wall and in-ceiling placement beats a bar that has to live where the furniture allows. Where there is no wall to open, this is the range we specify.
- Stands and mounts. The motorised floor stands — Loewe calls the rotation magic.motion — and the slim wall mounts with concealed cable routing. These are not an accessory afterthought on a Loewe project; they are frequently the reason the line was chosen.
How a Loewe gets designed into a room
The whole argument for this line is what the room looks like, so an install that leaves a cable running down a plaster wall has thrown away the reason it was specified. The work is the route, the plane and the control layer.
- Decide the location with the designer, not after them. Loewe projects come to us through designers more often than not, and the cheapest version of this job is the one where we are in the conversation before the millwork is drawn.
- Route first, bracket second. Power and signal in the wall with a spare pulled. In the pre-war and mid-century stock on both sides of the state line the route is the entire design problem, and a masonry chimney breast cannot be fished at all.
- Height off the seated eye line. Not off the mantel. This is the most common reason a beautiful room is uncomfortable to watch anything in.
- Sources out of the room. A rack or a cabinet elsewhere, so the object on the wall is the only thing in the room that looks like electronics. Our mounting and concealment page covers the recessed, art-panel and lift versions.
- One press. Control4 or Crestron Home takes the screen, the stand, the lighting and the shades together, because a rotating television with its own remote is a party trick rather than a system.
Where Loewe sits beside the other lines we carry
Loewe is the answer to a design problem, not to a brightness problem. Where the room is a bright great room and the question is whether the picture holds up at four in the afternoon, the honest answer is a Sony, LG or Samsung panel and we will say so. The closest thing to a rival on our own roster is Samsung’s Frame line, and the two solve the same problem differently: the Frame wants to be artwork, a Loewe wants to be furniture. Which one a room wants is usually obvious within a minute of standing in it.
And in a room with real light control, the television is not the answer at all — that is a projector on a screen, which is a different page and a different conversation.
Common questions
Who sells and installs Loewe televisions in Kansas City?
IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) carries and installs Loewe across the Kansas City metro — the televisions and the klang audio range, specified with the designer and installed as part of the room rather than hung on it afterwards. To be precise about the relationship, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Loewe is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Loewe dealer. What we are is a Control4 Platinum Dealer with a Control4 Certified Showroom, a Crestron Elite Partner, a Lutron Certified Installer and a CEDIA member, and the people the designer calls before the drywall closes. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
Why specify Loewe rather than a mainstream television?
Because of what it looks like when it is off, and because of what it is mounted on. Loewe is a German manufacturer that builds its televisions around industrial design rather than around a spec-sheet race: finishes and colourways chosen to sit in a room, a motorised floor stand that rotates the screen toward wherever people are actually sitting, and wall mounts detailed to hold the panel tight to the plane. In a room where a large black rectangle is the thing the designer has been fighting all year, that is not a vanity purchase — it is the reason the room gets to keep its television. If nobody in the project cares what the wall looks like when the screen is off, a mainstream panel is the honest recommendation and we will make it.
Which Loewe lines do you install?
Loewe’s current television families are stellar, antares, iconic, bild, vega and callas, plus the We. by Loewe range, and Loewe splits its own catalogue into OLED and LED. The stellar family is the one Loewe describes with WOLED MLA and META panel technology. On the audio side we specify the klang range — the klang bar3 mr and klang bar5 mr soundbars, the klang sub1 and klang sub5 subwoofers, the klang mr1, mr3 and mr5 multiroom speakers and the home.cinema sets. We specify and install to order; nothing sits on a shelf here, and what lands on your proposal comes off the site walk rather than off a catalogue page.
Can a Loewe television run from Control4 or Crestron?
Yes, and in a designed room it should. One press on a keypad wakes the screen, selects the source, rotates the motorised stand if there is one, takes the Lutron lighting to a scene and closes the shades — and the same press in reverse puts the room back to itself. We are a Control4 Platinum Dealer with a Control4 Certified Showroom and a Crestron Elite Partner with programming done in house, so the integration is written rather than assembled from defaults. A beautiful television operated with its own remote from a drawer is a piece of furniture that annoys people.
What does the install actually involve?
More than the bracket, which is the part people picture. The route is planned first — power and signal in the wall, sources in a rack or a cabinet elsewhere, and a spare conductor pulled while the wall is open. The height comes off the seated eye line rather than off the mantel. Where the wall is plaster over wood lath or a masonry chimney breast, the route is the whole design problem and we raise it before anybody commits to a location. Our TV mounting and concealment page covers the recessed, art-panel and lift options in full. Every install carries a five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice; the equipment carries its manufacturer warranty.
