Authorized Dealer
Quantum Media Systems · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT is an authorized Quantum Media Systems dealer across the Kansas City metro — the XDR Micro LED display, a fine-pitch LED wall built into the front of a home theater where a screen and projector would otherwise go. The dealer agreement is our own, and the exact model and size for your room are confirmed on your proposal. Beyond the paperwork, we are the people who plan the room around a wall like this: the structure behind it, the power, the cabling, the control and the sound. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What we specify and install from Quantum Media Systems
What follows is what Quantum Media Systems states on its own site, in its own terms, and the figures are the maker’s. We specify and install to order.
- The XDR Micro LED display. Quantum Media Systems calls it the Quantum Cinematic XDR Micro LED Display: a wall of LED cabinets with custom ultra-wide configurations, automatic detection of the aspect ratio of what is playing, and multi-image windows that can sit anywhere on the screen. Its site lists brightness above 1,500 nits and 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space.
- XDR3090 and XDR3091. The two models on Quantum Media Systems’ technology page. The XDR3090 is listed at a 0.9 mm pixel pitch and 4480 by 2160 pixels, about 14 feet wide; the XDR3091 at 1.2 mm and 4320 by 2160, about 18 feet wide. Both are listed at 3.5 inches deep, with HDMI 2.1 input at 4K and 120 Hz.
- Pitches, sizes and service. The configuration page lists 0.9, 1.2, 1.5 and 2.5 mm pixel pitches, cabinets 23.6 inches wide and 13.3 inches high, and layouts in 16:9 and in Cinemascope ratios. It says the LED modules attach magnetically and come off from the front for servicing.
- XDR3 and XDR Pro Cinema. Both names appear in Quantum Media Systems’ published press, and its CEDIA Expo page describes a 20-foot-wide Pro Cinema display with an 8K HDMI 2.1 image control processor. Which family fits a room is settled on the proposal, not on the name.
- DCI. Quantum Media Systems describes its display as DCI compliant and lists a DCI IMB server as a playback input. That is the maker’s own statement about its product, and we pass it on as theirs.
How we put an LED wall into a home theater
- The seats set the pitch. We measure the closest regular seat first and choose the pixel pitch from that, not finer than the room can use. Our video wall page walks through that decision.
- Structure and flatness. Cabinets butt edge to edge, so a bowed wall shows as a seam. Quantum Media Systems’ home page gives a total depth of 3.5 inches and 1 inch of clearance for installation and service; the framing, the cavity and the finish around the wall are planned to those numbers before the drywall goes up.
- Power, cabling and air. The maker publishes electrical and weight figures for each model. We use them for the dedicated circuits, the rack location and the HDMI 2.1 cable pull, all of it run before the room is closed in.
- Sound planned beside the wall. We plan the front speakers alongside the wall rather than assume they can sit behind it, and decide where they go with the room’s acoustics. The finished room is part of our home theater calibration work.
- One button, not five remotes. The wall goes under the control system with the sources, the lights and the shades, so the room starts the same way every time. For a dedicated room built from the ground up, see our luxury home theater work.
Where Quantum Media Systems sits beside the other lines we carry
An LED wall is one of three ways to build the front of a theater. When the picture should be a projector and a screen in a room that goes fully dark, we carry Barco. When the wall is not the cinema itself — a great room, a bar, a patio — we carry and install Just Video Walls. A wall this size shows whatever it is fed, so we are also an authorized dealer for Kaleidescape, the movie player we specify for the source.
Questions
Common questions
Is IntegrateIT an authorized Quantum Media Systems dealer?
Yes. IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) is an authorized Quantum Media Systems dealer across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line — for home theaters that want an LED wall at the front of the room instead of a screen and projector. We measure the room and the seats, specify the wall against them, plan the structure, power, cabling, control and sound around it, and tie it into the control system so it is not another remote on the table. We specify and install to order rather than selling boxes off a shelf, so the model on your proposal comes off the room drawing. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What is the difference between an LED wall and a projector?
A projector throws light onto a screen; an LED wall makes its own light and is built into the front of the room. Quantum Media Systems describes its XDR display as fine-pitch LED with a matte, non-reflective finish and brightness above 1,500 nits. Which one suits you depends on the room — how dark it gets, how far back the seats are and how large the picture has to be. A projector and screen can still be the better answer in a dark dedicated room, and we say so when it is.
Which Quantum Media Systems model fits my room?
Width and seating distance decide it. On its technology page Quantum Media Systems lists the XDR3090 at a 0.9 mm pixel pitch, about 14 feet wide, and the XDR3091 at 1.2 mm, about 18 feet wide; its configuration page shows other sizes, ratios and pitches. A finer pitch lets the front row sit closer. We measure the wall, the seats and the closest row first, then choose the model and the size, and the exact configuration is confirmed on your proposal.
Who does the on-site work, Quantum Media Systems or IntegrateIT?
Quantum Media Systems’ own site describes on-site custom installation, image calibration and system commissioning as included with its display. The room the wall goes into comes first, and that part is ours: the framing and flatness behind the wall, the power and cooling, the cable runs, the control programming and the sound. Your proposal sets out who attends on which day.
Can the wall be controlled with the rest of the house?
Quantum Media Systems lists TCP/IP control for its XDR displays, and HDMI 2.1 inputs at 4K and 120 Hz. That is the hook we use to bring the wall under a Control4 or Crestron system with the sources, the lights and the shades, so one button turns the room on the same way every time.
What happens after the install?
The sound in the room is calibrated with the furniture in place, the settings are recorded in your portal, and the control system is programmed so one button starts a movie. Every install carries our five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice.
