CinemaTech · Kansas City.

IntegrateIT is an authorized CinemaTech dealer across the Kansas City metro — the theater seats, media-room sofas and swivel chairs that people judge a room by before the screen is even on. We are also the people who draw the riser, run power to every seat, set the rows and calibrate the sound once the seats are in. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

CinemaTech works as a catalogue of named models. You choose a model — a Paramount, a Katana, a Lugano — and then the leather or fabric, the stitching, the colour blocking and the arrangement, and the seats are built to that order. That makes the design conversation start with the look of the room and the shape of the household, which is the right place for it to start. The model names below are the current ones on CinemaTech’s own site.

What we specify from CinemaTech

Grouped the way CinemaTech groups them, with where each tends to land in a house here:

  • Theater Collection — Angelo, Bordeaux, Estrella High Back, Ferari, Hudson High Back, Lonestar, M3, Mezzanine, Montecito, Paramount, Sevilla, Valentino. The row seating for a dedicated home theater, front row and riser rows alike. Paramount brings a tufted back; M3 has CinemaTech’s articulating headrest and comes in top-grain black leather only; Mezzanine is the performance seat CinemaTech describes as the cousin to its Valentino.
  • Sofa/Media Room Collection — Bordeaux, Estrella, Geneva, Greenwich, Hudson, Katana, Montclair, Sophia. For a media room that has to be a living space too. Katana, for one, has a motorised reclining headrest and a corner piece for sectional layouts.
  • Swivel Chair Collection — Noir, Seraphina. Single chairs that turn, for the corner of a media room or a listening room where the seat has to face more than one way.
  • CinemaTech Living — Arezzo, Lugano, Stellina. Built modularly from seats, arms and chaise pieces, with three-motor zero-gravity adjustment and position memory, for the family room where the television is one use among several.
  • Acoustical wall fabric — Standard and Premium collections. Wall fabric for the panels around the seats, which we design alongside the acoustic treatment rather than as decoration.
  • Materials and options. Act I and ACT II leathers, Elmo, European and American leathers, Alcantara, European and Act I fabrics, or your own material through CinemaTech’s Customer-Owned Material programme. Seat switches with USB-C charging, cup holders in silver, bronze or black, side tables, and removable Smart Arms and nail heads on the Lonestar and Paramount.

We specify and order to the room — we do not keep seats on hand, and lead times come from the factory. The model, the material and the arrangement on your proposal come off the room drawing, not off a catalogue page.

How we put a row of CinemaTech seats into a room

  • The drawing comes first. Screen size, viewing distance, the riser height that keeps the back row’s view clear of the front row’s heads, and the walkway at the end of each row. CinemaTech makes 2D and 3D CAD blocks available to design professionals, and they go straight into that drawing.
  • Widths are counted, not guessed. Seat pans and arms add up fast across a row: a Paramount or Mezzanine seat pan is 22 or 24 inches with a 6-inch single arm, and a Katana is 24 or 27 inches. We fit the row to the wall before anyone falls for a model that does not fit it.
  • Power before the riser closes. Powered seats need an outlet at each position, and that is a framing-stage decision. Leaving it until the seats arrive is how a finished riser gets cut open.
  • Sound is set with the seats in. Surround height, the listening position and the calibration all assume the real seat in the real place. We measure after delivery, not before.
  • Documented, then supported. The model, the material codes and the layout go into your portal with the rest of the project record. Every install carries our five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice; the seats carry CinemaTech’s own terms, which are on your proposal.

CinemaTech or Elite HTS?

We are also an authorized Elite HTS dealer, and the two answer the question from different ends. CinemaTech leads with named models across theater, sofa, swivel and living-room collections, with a deep materials library — it suits a room where the seating has to belong to the rest of the house. Elite HTS builds a recliner from an arm style and a backrest profile chosen for posture, and puts a lot of its range into front-row lounging — it suits a household that wants to tune the seat to the people sitting in it. Plenty of rooms could go either way; we will tell you which we would pick for yours and why. When the seats are one layer of a room where screen, sound, light and acoustics are all designed together, see how we build a dedicated cinema.

Common questions

Who sells and installs CinemaTech seating in Kansas City?

IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) is an authorized CinemaTech dealer across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line. We choose the model and the arrangement off the room drawing, order the seats built to that drawing, run power to every seat position before the riser is closed, and set and connect the rows on site. We do not hold seats on a shelf — CinemaTech builds to order, and the lead time on your proposal is the one the factory gives us. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

What does CinemaTech actually make right now?

Four seating collections, as its own site groups them. The Theater Collection is the row seating: Angelo, Bordeaux, Estrella High Back, Ferari, Hudson High Back, Lonestar, M3, Mezzanine, Montecito, Paramount, Sevilla and Valentino. The Sofa/Media Room Collection is Bordeaux, Estrella, Geneva, Greenwich, Hudson, Katana, Montclair and Sophia. The Swivel Chair Collection is Noir and Seraphina, and CinemaTech Living is Arezzo, Lugano and Stellina. Alongside the seats it publishes two acoustical wall fabric collections, Standard and Premium. CinemaTech spells "Ferari" with one r; that is the model name, not a typo on our part.

Theater Collection or Sofa/Media Room Collection — which one is my room?

If the room is a dedicated theater with a screen wall, a riser and nothing else to do in it, the Theater Collection is where we start: individual reclining seats in rows, with arms between them. If the room is also where the family watches the game, has people over and reads on a Sunday, the Sofa/Media Room Collection or CinemaTech Living usually fits better, because a sofa reads as furniture when the screen is off. Several names sit in both collections — Bordeaux in each, Estrella and Hudson as sofas with High Back versions in the Theater Collection — which lets a theater and the media room next to it share a look.

How much of a CinemaTech seat can be customised?

A great deal, by CinemaTech’s own description: seats are built to order, with the arrangement, stitching, colour blocking, contrast stitching and piping chosen per project, and a Customer-Owned Material programme for your own fabric or leather. Its published materials include the Act I and ACT II leathers, the Elmo collection, European and American leathers, Alcantara, and European and Act I fabrics. Options include cup holders in silver, bronze, black or none; side tables, including a swivel workstation; removable Smart Arms on the Lonestar and Paramount; and nail heads on those same two models. The M3 is the exception that proves the rule — CinemaTech offers it only in top-grain black leather. We put the exact selections on the proposal so nothing is decided by memory at the factory.

What is CinemaTech Living?

CinemaTech’s collection for rooms that are not only for watching — the living room, the family room, the den. It has three models: Arezzo, low-profile with a backrest that elevates for viewing; Lugano, with three independent motors; and Stellina, built around rounded arms and soft cushioning. CinemaTech lists NanoSoft three-layer cushioning, three-motor zero-gravity adjustment, position memory and USB-C charging across all three, and builds them modularly from individual seats, arms and chaise pieces. In a Kansas City house it tends to land in the great room with a television, not in the theater behind the basement door.

Do the seats change how the theater sounds?

Yes. The seating is the largest soft object in the room and it sits exactly where the listening happens, so seat height, back height and upholstery all change what reaches the ear. That is one reason we calibrate after the seats are in, not before. CinemaTech also publishes acoustical wall fabrics, and if the room is getting fabric-wrapped panels we treat the seating and the wall fabric as one design rather than two purchases.

The seats are chosen on a drawing before they are chosen on looks. Let’s draw the room.
