Authorized Dealer
DMF Lighting recessed lighting · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT is an authorized DMF Lighting dealer across the Kansas City metro — recessed LED downlights for new construction and remodel ceilings, cylinders and surface mounts, planned together with the lighting control that runs them. The dealer agreement is our own, and the exact fixtures for your house are confirmed on your proposal. Beyond the paperwork, we are the people who walk the house, draw the ceiling plan with you and the electrician, and commission what we install. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What we carry and install from DMF Lighting
DMF Lighting describes itself as a maker of LED downlights with its own engineering and test lab, based in Carson, California. Its site sorts the range by aperture, series, mounting and installation requirement, and the families below are named the way it names them. We specify, install and commission to order.
- M Series. A 4″ downlight family that DMF Lighting splits into M Series Residential, M Series Commercial and M Series Multiples, with an M Series 4″ IC Rated Family page. Housings are listed for new construction, remodel, retrofit, shallow plenum, concrete, wood or millwork and flangeless mud-in; trims include round, square, hyperbolic, pinhole, wall wash and flangeless. The housing is a rough-in decision, which is why the fixture schedule sits in the same coordination as our new construction low-voltage pre-wire.
- X Series. DMF Lighting X Series is a 3″ downlight, listed as formerly designated 2″ with the same hardware. The page names new construction, remodel, wood or millwork and flangeless mud-in housings, seven trim styles, and finishes in white, black, bronze, brass, copper, graphite and clear diffuse. It is the family to look at where a ceiling wants a smaller opening.
- C Series and H Series. DMF Lighting C Series is listed as a 4″ and 6″ downlight and H Series as a 3″ and 4″ downlight, each with a cylinder version. DMF Lighting also lists H Series Retrofit and M Series Retrofit offerings, plus a retrofit conversion kit from 8″ to 4″, for ceilings that are already built.
- Cylinders and surface mounts. DMF Lighting lists a 4″ Cylinder, an X Series 3″ Cylinder, decorative pendant versions with shades, coastal marine-grade versions of the M Series and X Series cylinders, and S Series surface mount. They are for ceilings that should not be cut, a porch or covered outdoor ceiling, or a room where the fixture is meant to be seen.
- True 1 and 0.5 Concealed Linear. DMF Lighting True 1 is a 1″ downlight family and 0.5 Concealed Linear is a 0.5″ linear system that mounts on the surface or sits recessed in millwork. Both were listed as pre-release on the day we read the site, so we follow them and do not specify them until DMF Lighting lists them as released.
- The luxury-line site. DMF Lighting’s own menu links to a separate luxury-lighting site for homeowners that lists Artafex 1, Artafex 2 and Artafex 4 recessed fixtures, Artafex Linear, cylinders and surface mounts. We read it as a second catalogue from the same maker and specify from the sheet for the exact model, for the estates in our luxury home automation scope.
- Dimming interfaces. On the X Series and M Series 4″ IC Rated pages DMF Lighting lists 0-10V and TRIAC/ELV dimming to 1% and DALI-2 to 0.1%; True 1 and 0.5 Concealed Linear list a combination 0-10V and TRIAC/ELV option. Which interface a room uses is set by the control, and that is the subject of our smart lighting work.
How we put DMF Lighting into a house
A fixture count is not a lighting design. What a room feels like two years later comes from where each fixture sits, what it is aimed at, and whether the dimmer behind it can take it down gently.
- The ceiling plan comes first. We draw aperture, trim, beam and color temperature room by room against the furniture plan, then issue the fixture schedule and the load schedule the electrician and the builder work from, before the ceiling is closed.
- Dimming is chosen with the control. The driver interface goes on the schedule beside the keypad and the dimmer or module that will run the circuit. On a Lutron HomeWorks job we check each fixture against the published dimmer-compatibility information before ordering, rather than relying on a general statement.
- Cabling and control integration. Keypad and sensor pathways are pulled at the same rough-in as the housings go in, and scenes are programmed after the fixtures are powered.
- Aiming and levels after the furniture arrives. The M Series 4″ IC Rated page lists beam spreads as field-changeable, so we set aim and low-end levels with the owner in the room, once the furniture is in and the walls are painted, and save the result as scenes.
- Documentation is the deliverable. The fixture schedule by room, the driver and dimming interface for each circuit, the scene list and the control programming land in your portal. A lighting system nobody can read after the integrator leaves is one you will pay to rediscover.
Where DMF Lighting sits beside the other lines we carry
DMF Lighting is the fixture, and something else decides how the fixture is controlled. On a whole-house job that can be Lutron HomeWorks, which runs the dimmers, keypads and scenes the downlights hang from. When a room needs a full range of color rather than a white downlight with warm dim or tunable white, Ketra is Lutron’s LED line for that. And where the same room needs its daylight handled, the Screen Innovations shade page and our motorized shades work can sit on the same scenes.
Questions
Common questions
Is IntegrateIT an authorized DMF Lighting dealer?
Yes. IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) is an authorized DMF Lighting dealer across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line — new homes and remodels from Overland Park, Leawood and Prairie Village to Mission Hills and out to Lee’s Summit. We specify and install to order rather than selling boxes off a shelf. What we do is plan the ceiling with you and the electrician, specify the fixtures, install and commission them with the lighting control, and document the result. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What does DMF Lighting make besides recessed downlights?
DMF Lighting sorts its range by aperture — 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inch — and by mounting: pendant, recessed, surface, wall mount and concealed linear. Its series are True 1, X Series, M Series, A Series, 0.5 Concealed Linear, 4″ Cylinder, C Series, H Series and S Series. Cylinders hang or sit on the surface where a ceiling should not take a hole, and the products page lists coastal versions of its 3″ and 4″ cylinders. S Series is surface mount, and A Series is illuminated signage. True 1 and 0.5 Concealed Linear were both listed as pre-release when we read the site on 2026-10-25, so we treat them as not yet specifiable.
Which DMF Lighting housing goes where — new construction, remodel or retrofit?
It depends on what is already above the ceiling, which is why the question comes before the product. DMF Lighting’s navigation sorts by requirement — retrofit, fire rated, Chicago plenum, concrete, IC, remodel and plenum depths from 2 to 5 inches — and the M Series 4″ IC Rated page lists new construction, remodel, retrofit, shallow plenum, concrete, wood or millwork and flangeless mud-in housings. In a new build the housings go in at rough-in, before drywall, so the fixture schedule is settled before the ceiling closes. In a finished house the aim is to open as little ceiling as possible, and a remodel or retrofit housing is what makes that workable. A fire-rated or concrete ceiling is a drawing question, and we check the exact housing on the maker’s sheet.
Will DMF Lighting downlights dim from a Lutron system?
Possibly, and it is decided fixture by fixture rather than by brand. DMF Lighting’s X Series and M Series 4″ IC Rated pages list dimming by 0-10V and by TRIAC/ELV, each to 1%, and by DALI-2 to 0.1%. Those pages do not name Lutron, and we do not say they do. So on a Lutron job the driver option goes on the fixture schedule beside the dimmer or module that will run that circuit, and we check the pairing against the published dimmer-compatibility information for that exact fixture and that exact control before anything is ordered. DMF Lighting’s resources page carries dimmer-compatibility documents, some for retired models and a Compatibility link under the H Series; we read the one that matches the model on the drawing. How low and how smoothly a room dims depends on that pairing as much as on the fixture.
Can DMF Lighting downlights change color temperature or beam later?
Some can. The M Series 4″ IC Rated page lists color temperatures from 2400K to 4000K with warm dim and tunable white options, and says beam spread is field-changeable, from a 15° narrow spot to a 90° or wider ambient spread. DMF Lighting’s specifier page describes lumen packages, color temperature, optics and trims as changeable without a major change to budget or schedule. That is DMF Lighting’s description and not ours, and we confirm it for the model on the drawing. For an owner the useful part is a ceiling that can be re-aimed after a furniture change or a repaint. Warm dim and tunable white only do something if the control runs them, which is why the control and the fixtures are chosen together. A room that needs a full color range is a different job, and Ketra is the line we carry for it.
Do you stock DMF Lighting fixtures, and what comes with the install?
We do not stock them. We specify and install to order, so the fixture schedule has to be settled before the housings are ordered. A DMF Lighting install with us is a site walk, a ceiling plan and a fixture schedule by room, rough-in coordination with the electrician and the builder, installation, aiming and level-setting once the furniture is in, and a handover record in your portal. DMF Lighting publishes its own warranty terms for its fixtures; we do not restate them here, so read them for the model on the drawing. Our installation carries a five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice.
