Furrion outdoor TVs · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT carries and installs Furrion outdoor televisions across the Kansas City metro — the Aurora range for full sun, partial sun and full shade, hung on a covered patio or a pool-deck wall and wired for a Kansas City winter. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Furrion is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Furrion dealer. What we are is the people who stand on the patio at the hour the sun is worst, choose the model for that wall, run the power and the network, and commission the result. What we carry and install from Furrion
Furrion sorts its outdoor televisions by how much sun the screen will face — Full Sun, Partial Sun and Full Shade — and its Aurora series page lists the televisions together with outdoor soundbars, mounts and accessories. The names and figures below are Furrion’s, read off its own pages. We specify, install and commission to order.
- Aurora Full-Sun outdoor smart TV. Furrion lists it as a 4K UHD LED outdoor smart TV for commercial and residential spaces and describes ultra-high brightness, anti-glare screens and adaptive picture technology that adjusts to changing light. The page gives no brightness figure, so we quote none. It is the model for a wall that takes direct sun with no roof over it, the case our outdoor TV installation page walks through.
- Aurora Partial-Sun 4K LED outdoor smart TV. For a space with some shade and some sun — a roofed patio that is open to the west, say. Furrion lists two Partial-Sun models, and which one fits depends on how much of the afternoon the screen sees direct light, which we judge on the patio rather than from the catalogue.
- Aurora Full-Shade 4K LED outdoor smart TV. For areas completely sheltered from direct sunlight, such as a fully roofed porch or a deep covered patio. Furrion says the Full-Shade line comes in standard or smart versions in various sizes.
- What the Aurora range shares. Furrion’s Aurora page states 4K UHD resolution, HDR10, anti-glare technology, an IP54 waterproof rating, an operating range of -24°F to 122°F, and XtremeShield tempered glass on the partial-sun and full-sun models. Those are Furrion’s statements, not ours. A Kansas City January and a July afternoon on a south wall are the reason we read them before we pick a wall.
- Outdoor soundbars. The Aurora page lists 2.1 outdoor soundbars, one with a wireless subwoofer and one with a built-in subwoofer. For a patio that wants more than a soundbar, our outdoor audio scope designs the sound separately and the television feeds it.
- Mounts, cover and remote. Universal fixed-tilt mounts for 43 to 65 inch and 70 to 86 inch televisions, a full-motion wall mount, a ceiling mount, an outdoor TV cover and a universal remote. Which mount goes where is a question about the wall and the glare, and it belongs to our TV mounting and concealment work.
- Control-system driver. Furrion’s site links to a Control4 driver that connects an Aurora smart TV over IP, so the patio screen can sit on the same touch panel and in the same scenes as the rest of the house. See Control4 for how we build that system.
How we put Furrion into a patio
An outdoor television fails for reasons that have little to do with the television: the wrong exposure, a plug on an extension cord, a signal that has to cross a yard. The work is done before the screen is lifted out of its box.
- The sun, measured. We visit at the hour that matters. A south or west wall in July and a low winter sun at four in the afternoon are different problems, and the exposure decides the model before the screen size does.
- Power and signal to the wall. A weather-rated outlet or box at the screen, on its own circuit where the load calls for it, and a network cable to the television wherever the wall allows rather than a Wi-Fi signal crossing the patio. Where a cable cannot go, our whole-home Wi-Fi design covers the outdoor space deliberately.
- Mounted for glare and weather. Tilt chosen against the sun angle, anchors into masonry or framing rather than trim, and cables concealed so the wall looks finished.
- On the control system. Power, source and volume on the touch panel or the app, and the patio scene — screen, sound, lighting — as one button. See our smart home automation work for how the rest of the house is tied together.
- Documented. Model, serial number, circuit, network address and mount type go into your project record with the cover and winter-care notes, so the next person to touch the wall does not have to guess.
Where Furrion sits beside the other lines we carry
We carry more than one outdoor answer, so the recommendation can follow the wall. SunBriteTV is the other outdoor-focused line we carry, and its series are also sorted by how much sun the screen faces; we compare the two models for the same exposure side by side at the site. Samsung is the pick when the outdoor screen should belong to the same family as the indoor ones, and its Terrace outdoor line is named on our outdoor TV page. Séura belongs in the conversation when the room, not the patio, is the design question — mirror televisions and lighted mirrors indoors, with its own outdoor televisions listed too.
Common questions
Who installs Furrion outdoor TVs in Kansas City?
IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) carries and installs Furrion across the Kansas City metro — patios, pool decks and covered porches in Johnson County, Kansas City, Missouri and Lee’s Summit. To be precise about the relationship, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Furrion is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Furrion dealer. We specify, install and commission to order. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
Which Furrion Aurora TV suits my patio?
It follows the sun, not the size. Furrion sorts the Aurora outdoor televisions into Full Sun, Partial Sun and Full Shade. A wall with direct sun and no roof wants the Full Sun model; a roofed patio that still gets the western afternoon is a Partial Sun question, and Furrion lists two models there; a fully sheltered porch is where the Full Shade model belongs. On a site walk we look at the wall at the hour the sun is worst — in Kansas City that can be a low winter sun as easily as a July afternoon — and choose the exposure first and the size second.
What does Furrion say about weather and brightness?
On its Aurora page Furrion states an IP54 waterproof rating, an operating range of -24°F to 122°F, 4K UHD resolution, HDR10 and anti-glare technology, with XtremeShield tempered glass on the partial-sun and full-sun models. Its Full Sun page describes ultra-high brightness and adaptive picture technology and gives no brightness number. Those are Furrion’s statements, not ours, and we add no figure it does not publish. What we add is the install: the screen goes where the sun and the weather are survivable, on power from a weather-rated box, and under its cover or not according to how the space is used.
Does a Furrion outdoor TV work with Control4?
Furrion’s site links to a Control4 driver for Aurora smart TVs, which connects the set over IP, so the television can sit on the same touch panel and in the same scenes as the rest of the house. We put the set on the network, bind it into the project and test power and source from the panel before handover. Where a house runs another control system, we confirm what Furrion publishes for it before we promise anything.
Does Furrion make outdoor audio and mounts too?
Its Aurora page lists 2.1 outdoor soundbars, one with a wireless subwoofer and one with a built-in subwoofer, plus fixed-tilt mounts for 43 to 65 inch and 70 to 86 inch televisions, a full-motion wall mount, a ceiling mount, an outdoor TV cover and a universal remote. Whether a soundbar is enough depends on the space. For a larger patio we design the sound separately with speakers made for the outdoors, and the television feeds it.
What happens after a Furrion outdoor TV is installed?
The install is documented: model, serial number, circuit, network address and mount type go into your project record with the cover and winter-care notes. Furrion publishes its own warranty terms on its site and we do not restate them. Our installation carries a five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice. If the set or the wall misbehaves, the same office that installed it takes the call.
