Monitor Audio loudspeakers · Kansas City.

IntegrateIT carries and installs Monitor Audio across the Kansas City metro — a UK-based loudspeaker maker whose catalogue runs from floorstanders and standmounts to in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, in-wall subwoofers and outdoor speakers. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Monitor Audio is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Monitor Audio dealer. What we are is the people who decide which range goes in which room, cut the openings where the drawing says and tune the house after the furniture is in. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

The useful thing to know before any model name: Monitor Audio sells the whole job from one catalogue. Its boxed ranges, its three levels of in-wall and in-ceiling speaker, a matched in-wall subwoofer kit and a weather-rated outdoor pair are all published on its own site. That is an argument for one voice across a house, and it is also the reason to decide early which rooms get which level.

What we carry and install from Monitor Audio

Monitor Audio’s US site lists speaker ranges by series, with generation codes in the names — 3G, 4G, 6G and 8G — and a separate architectural section. These are the families we specify here, named the way Monitor Audio names them.

  • Platinum Series 3G. Platinum 300 3G, Platinum 200 3G, Platinum 100 3G, Platinum In-Wall 3G, Platinum C250 3G and the Platinum PLIC II. Monitor Audio presents it as its high-end range, with new cabinets, aluminium driver frames and outrigger feet on the floorstanders. It is the range for the one room in the house built for listening, or the front stage of a dedicated theater.
  • Gold Series 6G. Gold 500 6G, Gold 300 6G, Gold 100 6G, Gold 50 6G, Gold C250 6G and Gold On-Wall 6G, with two 5.1 system bundles. Floorstanders, standmounts, a centre and an on-wall in one range make it a workable base for a media room without mixing makers.
  • Silver Series 8G. Silver 500 8G, Silver 300 8G (a three-way floorstander), Silver 100 8G (a three-way standmount), Silver 50 8G (a compact two-way bookshelf), Silver Centre 8G and Silver On-Wall 8G. The Silver AMS 8G sits on top of the Silver 50 and Silver 300 for immersive systems, and Monitor Audio lists the Silver 300 7.1.4 AV System 8G among its bundles, which is the relevant shape for a Dolby Atmos room.
  • Radius Series 4G. Radius 1 4G, Radius 3 4G, Radius On-Wall 4G, Radius Floor Stand 4G and Radius Desk Pad 4G. Monitor Audio says the range can be set up as a compact stereo pair, a home cinema system, a desktop solution or part of a multi-room system, which suits a study, a bedroom or a small second system.
  • Creator Series — in-wall and in-ceiling. Monitor Audio sorts it into three performance levels. The first is for cost-effective installations. The second is the step up where enhanced performance is wanted, with boundary correction and a rotating mid-pod. The third is for discreet high-fidelity sound with more flexibility in placement. In-ceiling models come in small, medium and large sizes. This is the family behind a whole-house audio system.
  • Creator in-wall subwoofers. The WS1-W10, WS2-W12 and WS3-W12 in-wall subwoofers, each with a rear enclosure and a DSP amplifier. Monitor Audio describes the first as suited to both pre-construction and retrofit work, the second to media rooms and home cinema built before the walls close, and the third to demanding home cinema installations.
  • Climate Series 3G — outdoors. The CL2 S and CL2 M, with a sealed one-piece cabinet and an IP66 rating published by Monitor Audio. The range suits discreet installation indoors as well. See outdoor audio for how we draw a patio.

How we put Monitor Audio into a house

  • A level for each room. Hallway, laundry and bath do not need what the great room needs. We assign a Creator level, or a boxed range, room by room, so the money goes where somebody sits down.
  • Openings and back boxes at rough-in. Cut-out size, depth and the cable path are checked against Monitor Audio’s published specification for the exact model, and settled while the wall is open, as part of the pre-wire. Speaker cable is home-run to the rack and labelled at both ends.
  • Bass drawn with the room. An in-wall subwoofer shares the wall cavity, so its position, the rear enclosure and the amplifier location are drawn early. Measured and tuned afterwards; see home theater calibration.
  • One control surface, one record. The speakers sit behind a keypad or an app on a Control4 or Crestron system we design and program, and model numbers, wire labels and settings land in your portal with the project record.

Where Monitor Audio sits beside the other lines we carry

Monitor Audio is the case for a matched set from one maker: boxed speakers, three levels of in-wall, an in-wall subwoofer kit and an outdoor pair. Bowers & Wilkins is the comparison when the brief wants a custom theater range and a long in-wall catalogue. Episode is built around distributed audio and outdoor landscape speakers, and Triad wins when the architecture is the constraint and the speaker has to be built to order and painted to match.

Common questions

Who installs Monitor Audio in Kansas City?

IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) carries and installs Monitor Audio across the Kansas City metro — whole-house systems, media rooms and theaters on both sides of the state line, from Overland Park and Leawood to Mission Hills and out to Lee’s Summit. To be precise about the relationship, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Monitor Audio is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Monitor Audio dealer. What we do is walk the house, specify the speakers, install and commission them, and document the result. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

What are the Creator Series levels?

Monitor Audio describes three performance levels for its in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. The first is for cost-effective installations. The second is a step up where enhanced performance is wanted, adding boundary correction and a rotating mid-pod. The third is described as discreet high-fidelity sound with more flexibility in placement. Monitor Audio’s pages do not map those levels to individual model numbers, so we confirm the exact model, the cut-out and the depth against the published specification before the drawing is issued.

Can Monitor Audio do an in-wall subwoofer?

Yes. The Creator in-wall subwoofers are the WS1-W10, WS2-W12 and WS3-W12, and each is paired with a rear enclosure and a DSP amplifier. Monitor Audio says the first suits pre-construction and retrofit projects, the second media rooms and home cinema built before the walls close, and the third demanding home cinema installations. The decision that matters on site is where the cavity is: the position, the enclosure and the amplifier location go on the drawing before the drywall closes.

Is there a Monitor Audio set for a Dolby Atmos room?

Monitor Audio lists AV system bundles in 5.1 and 7.1.4 layouts inside its boxed ranges, and an add-on module that sits on top of its compact and floorstanding speakers for immersive setups. Where the height channels belong in the ceiling instead, the Creator in-ceiling speakers are the architectural route, and we confirm the exact model for that job against the published specification. Which route is right depends on ceiling height, seating and what the room is allowed to look like.

Does Monitor Audio make outdoor speakers?

Monitor Audio’s Climate Series 3G, the CL2 S and CL2 M, is its weather-rated outdoor range, and Monitor Audio publishes an IP66 rating for it. A rating describes the speaker, not the install: the connection, the cable route and the mounting decide whether a pair lasts a Kansas City winter, so the outdoor drawing settles those along with the model.

What does an install involve, and what happens afterwards?

A site walk first: which rooms matter, what the walls and ceilings are made of, where the cable can run and where the rack goes. Then the drawing, rough-in, installation and commissioning — levels matched, subwoofers measured, rooms tuned after the furniture arrives — and documentation with model numbers, wire labels and settings. Our installation carries a five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice; whatever warranty Monitor Audio gives on its own hardware is Monitor Audio’s to state.
