Powersoft amplifiers · Kansas City.

IntegrateIT carries and installs Powersoft across the Kansas City metro— install amplifiers behind a restaurant’s dining-room zones, a bar, a shop floor or a fitness room, with the processing, network and control that make a rack of amplification something a manager can actually run. One precision first: Powersoft is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Powersoft dealer. What we are is the people who count the zones, size the rack, wire it, and commission what we install. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

What we carry and install from Powersoft

Powersoft’s site describes the company as established in 1995 in Florence, Italy, working in professional audio, and sorts its products into install, touring, pocket-sized and onboard amplifiers, amplifier modules, DSP, transducers, software, cloud, accessories and OEM solutions. Our work is the installed half of that catalogue. The families below are the ones listed on Powersoft’s own site, in its own spelling; we specify, install and commission to order.

  • PRIMA Series. Powersoft positions PRIMA as its install range for systems that handle signal processing upstream or do not need it. The page lists two four-channel, half-rack models, the PRIMA 164 and PRIMA 324, with Auto Setup (it detects the connected load and sets Hi-Z or Lo-Z mode), Power Sharing across channels, gain trimmers, Eco Mode, Auto Standby and remote standby through a GPI. Its named applications include education, shops, malls and shopping centres, and bars and restaurants — the rooms behind our restaurant audio work.
  • Duecanali Series. Powersoft describes the Duecanali as an amplifier platform for installed sound reinforcement: Class D and two-channel, in the Duecanali 804, 1604, 4804 and 6404. It comes in three versions — DSP, with processing built in; DSP+, which adds AES67; and DSP+D, which adds Dante — with per-channel equalizers and delay for time alignment. Its application list includes bars and restaurants, clubs, fitness and leisure centers, hotels and resorts, shops and corporate spaces, which is the range of rooms our commercial AV work covers.
  • Quattrocanali, MEZZO and UNICA. Powersoft lists the Quattrocanali Series, MEZZO Series and UNICA as further install amplifier families. We pull the current data sheet for whichever one suits the zone count and the load when we design, rather than quoting a model from memory.
  • DSP. The DSP-Lite EM and DSP-Lite E sit under a DSP heading of their own on Powersoft’s site, beside the amplifiers that carry DSP inside. Where a design wants processing kept separate from the power stage, that is the category to look in.
  • Software and cloud. ArmoníaPlus, ProManager Plus and the Sys Control App are listed under software, and MyUniverso under cloud. The Duecanali page ties ArmoníaPlus to control and diagnostics monitoring and lists a WebApp as well. For the others Powersoft’s list gives names only, so we read the product page before we design a site around any of them.
  • Accessories and controllers. Powersoft lists the SpeakerMATE, VERSO Gateway and the WM Touch and WMP controllers as accessories. Which of them a site needs depends on who has to adjust it, and we settle that at design rather than on install day.

How we put Powersoft into a site

An amplifier is the part of a commercial audio system nobody looks at until something is wrong. These are the parts of the job that make it quick to find out what.

  • Zones first, then channels. We count zones, loads and headroom before we choose a model, and give each zone its own amplifier channels so one room can be turned down, muted or re-timed without touching the others.
  • Decide where the processing lives. PRIMA is positioned for systems that process upstream; the DSP versions of the Duecanali process in the amplifier; on a Q-SYS design the processing sits in the Core. Pick one place for it, and write down which.
  • Treat the network as part of the system. The DSP+ and DSP+D versions put the amplifier on an AES67 or Dante audio network, so it gets its own lane, its own switch capacity and its own addressing — never the guest Wi-Fi. That is what our commercial networking scope is for.
  • Rack, air and power. The half-rack models take a rack tray, every amplifier needs ventilation and a power budget, and remote standby through a GPI lets the rack follow the room’s opening and closing. Our network rack build scope covers the cabinet.
  • Commission and document. Gain, equalization and delay are set per zone and saved as presets; addresses, firmware versions and the control software settings land in your portal with the rest of the project record, so the next person to open the rack knows what they are looking at.

Where Powersoft sits beside the other lines we carry

Powersoft is the stand-alone amplification answer. When the room is a Q-SYS design the amplifiers are that platform’s own network amplifiers, covered on our Q-SYS page, and Powersoft is not part of the conversation. 1 SOUND publishes that it supplies Powersoft amplifiers carrying its own DSP presets alongside its loudspeakers, so a 1 SOUND room arrives with the amplifier already decided. And LEA Professional is the other commercial amplifier line we carry, with its Connect Series network amplifiers — read that page when the choice is between two manufacturers’ rack products.

Common questions

Who installs Powersoft amplifiers in Kansas City?

IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) carries and installs Powersoft across the Kansas City metro — restaurants and bars, shops, fitness rooms and corporate spaces on both sides of the state line. To be precise about the relationship, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Powersoft is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Powersoft dealer. What we do is design the zones, size the rack, wire it and commission it. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.

What does Powersoft make for installed rooms?

Powersoft’s install index lists these amplifier families: the PRIMA Series, UNICA, the MEZZO Series, the Duecanali Series and the Quattrocanali Series. Around them it lists DSP (the DSP-Lite EM and DSP-Lite E), software (ArmoníaPlus, ProManager Plus and the Sys Control App), a cloud service called MyUniverso, and accessories such as the SpeakerMATE and VERSO Gateway. Which family a room needs is a question of zone count, load and whether the processing lives in the amplifier or upstream, and we answer it from the data sheet for that site.

What is the difference between PRIMA and Duecanali?

Powersoft positions PRIMA for systems that handle signal processing upstream or do not need it: two four-channel, half-rack models with simple local setup. The Duecanali Series is described as an amplifier platform for installed sound reinforcement, Class D and two-channel, with versions that carry DSP inside and versions that add AES67 or Dante. Put plainly, PRIMA suits a room whose processing is elsewhere, and Duecanali suits a room that wants the processing and the network connection in the amplifier.

Do Powersoft amplifiers work on Dante or AES67 networks?

Some do. Powersoft’s Duecanali page lists three versions: DSP, DSP+ with AES67 support, and DSP+D with Dante support. The PRIMA page mentions neither, so a site that wants its amplifiers on an audio network is a Duecanali design. Network audio is a network problem as much as an audio one — a switch that handles it, addressing, clocking — so we plan the lane at the same time as the amplifier, not after it.

Is Powersoft the amplifier behind 1 SOUND speakers?

1 SOUND publishes that it supplies amplifiers from Powersoft, carrying its own DSP presets, and that they are available only alongside a 1 SOUND loudspeaker purchase. That is the manufacturers’ arrangement rather than ours, and it means a 1 SOUND room has its amplifier chosen with the speakers. Our 1 SOUND page covers it. A Powersoft amplifier chosen on its own, for other loudspeakers, is the case this page is about.

What happens after the install?

The rack is commissioned and written into your portal: model and serial numbers, firmware versions, network addresses, the presets for each zone and the control software settings. Every install carries our five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice. If the room changes — a new bar, a patio added, a zone split — we come back and retune rather than leaving you to guess.
