Networking · Mission Hills, 2024.
In 2024 IntegrateIT designed and installed a multi-room system in Mission Hills, Kansas: networking, surveillance and access control. The equipment lines on this project include Ubiquiti. Our own crew did the work from our showroom and design center at 15108 Glenwood Ave in Overland Park, Kansas. This page records the project by city and system; we publish no client name, address or photograph without the homeowner's written permission.
What went in
- Networking. A wired backbone with ceiling-mounted access points placed for coverage, a managed switch, and a separate lane for the smart devices. How we do networking
- Surveillance. Cameras at the entries and the perimeter recording locally, viewable on the phone and on the house screens. How we do surveillance
- Access control. Readers, locks and gates that open for the right people and log who came through. How we do access control
Equipment lines named on the project list: Ubiquiti. Every line we specify is one we hold a dealer agreement on or carry through distribution; the brands directory says which is which.
What a project like this involves
A network project starts with the house, not the router. The access-point count comes from the floor plan and the construction, the wired drops come from where the televisions, the rack and the office are, and the switch is sized for what will be added later.
Done this way the Wi-Fi is one name across the house and the grounds, the smart devices sit on their own lane, and the cameras and the audio never compete with the family for bandwidth.
