★Carried & Installed
Brivo cloud access control · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT carries and installs Brivo across the Kansas City metro — cloud-managed access control for one building or several, with mobile credentials, readers and door controllers, and video and visitor management on the same account. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Brivo is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Brivo dealer. What we are is the people who write the door schedule, pull the cable to each door, put the panels on a network that can be trusted, and commission the system with an administrator who can run it. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What we carry and install from Brivo
Brivo describes itself as a cloud-native physical security platform that combines access control, video and visitor management. Our access control page names Brivo for cloud-managed multi-site work. The product names below are Brivo’s, read off its own site. We specify, install and commission to order.
- Brivo Security Suite. Brivo’s name for the platform that brings doors, cameras, visitors and alerts into one login. It is software and a cloud service, with the hardware around it listed separately.
- Cloud-managed access control. Brivo says administrators manage doors, users and alerts from a web browser or the Brivo Access Mobile App, for one site or many, with role-based permissions by site and schedule. That multi-site console is the reason it is on our list for commercial properties.
- Control panels. Brivo lists the ACS300 series for compact sites of up to two doors, the ACS-SDC single-door Ethernet controller for Brivo smart readers and OSDP-compatible readers, the ACS6000 and ACS6100 series for up to 30 doors, and Mercury Intelligent Controllers supported through Brivo. It says panels keep enforcing access rules during an outage and sync their activity back when the connection returns.
- Readers. Mullion readers for narrow frames and glass doors, recessed smart readers, single-gang readers, a single-gang keypad reader that adds a PIN, and readers that handle legacy proximity cards, encrypted smart cards and mobile credentials at the same door, which Brivo describes as supporting a phased migration. The Brivo Door Station combines reader, audio and video for a visitor entrance.
- Mobile credentials. Brivo Mobile Pass and Brivo Wallet Pass, with tap-to-enter, self-service enrollment and instant revocation of a lost or stolen credential. Availability of mobile credentials varies by region, so we confirm it for the site.
- Video and visitor management. Brivo offers its own video management system, cameras, networking and storage, and analytics in the same suite, and a visitor management service with pre-registration, self-service check-in, host notification and temporary credentials. Visitor check-ins can link to camera views at specific doors, which ties to our commercial surveillance scope.
- Integrations. Brivo describes documented APIs and integration connectors to video, intrusion, visitor and building systems. Where the building already has a camera system or a network we have designed, that is the part we read first.
How we put Brivo into a building
Access control is a door-by-door job. The software is the easier half; the lock, the wire and the person who administers the system are the half that decides whether it works on a Monday.
- A door schedule first. Every door listed with its lock type, its fail-safe or fail-secure behaviour, the reader position, request-to-exit and door position monitoring, before a panel or reader is chosen. The access control page sets out the same sequence.
- Cable and power to each door. Conduit and cable from the panel location to every door, lock power supplies sized to the locks, and panels placed where the wire runs are short. On a building going up, this is part of the rough-in in the new construction low voltage plan.
- A network that can be trusted. Panels need a stable connection to the cloud, so they sit on their own segment with the power and switch capacity planned in. Our commercial networking and rack build scopes exist for this.
- Roles and credentials set up with the administrator. Permissions by site and schedule, how a credential is issued, and how one is revoked, walked through with the person who will do it, with a test at every door.
- Documented. The door schedule, panel and reader models, network addresses, roles and the as-built wiring go into your project record, so the next change starts from a list.
Where Brivo sits beside the other lines we carry
We carry more than one access platform, so the recommendation can follow the building. Ubiquiti UniFi is the proportionate choice for a small or medium site already on UniFi. Avigilon fits a site that wants cloud video and access from one vendor. HID Mercury is the controller and reader hardware to look at when the building wants open-architecture controllers and the software chosen separately; Brivo itself lists Mercury controllers as supported. Brivo is the one to reach for when several sites need one cloud console.
Common questions
Who installs Brivo in Kansas City?
IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) carries and installs Brivo across the Kansas City metro — commercial buildings and multi-site properties on both sides of the state line. To be precise about the relationship, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Brivo is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Brivo dealer. We specify, install and commission to order. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What does cloud-managed mean for my doors?
Brivo’s wording is that administrators manage doors, users and alerts from a web browser or the Brivo Access Mobile App, for one site or many, and can push updates across the system. The doors themselves do not depend on the connection: Brivo says its panels store credentials and rules locally, keep enforcing them during an outage and sync their activity back when the connection returns. We set up the roles and walk the administrator through it.
Can phones be used as keys with Brivo?
Brivo lists Brivo Mobile Pass and Brivo Wallet Pass, with tap-to-enter, self-service enrollment and instant revocation of a lost credential, and readers that handle legacy proximity cards, encrypted smart cards and mobile credentials at the same door so a building can migrate in phases. Brivo notes that mobile credential availability varies by region, so we confirm it for your site before it goes into a design.
Which Brivo panel and reader goes where?
It follows the door count and the door. Brivo lists the ACS300 series for compact sites, the ACS-SDC for a single door, and the ACS6000 and ACS6100 series for larger sites, with mullion, recessed, single-gang and keypad readers for the door itself and the Brivo Door Station where a visitor entrance needs video and audio. We choose from the door schedule, not the catalogue, and confirm the exact models from Brivo’s current pages before anything is ordered.
Can Brivo access control and cameras work together?
Yes. Brivo describes video verification alongside access events, its own video management system and cameras inside the same suite, and integration with third-party video systems through documented APIs. Which route is right depends on whether the building already has cameras; our commercial surveillance page covers the camera side, and the access event and its video can then be one record.
What happens after a Brivo system is installed?
The install is documented: the door schedule, panel and reader models, network addresses, roles and as-built wiring go into your project record, and the administrator is walked through issuing and revoking a credential. Brivo publishes its own terms for its service and we do not restate them. Our installation carries a five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice. If a door misbehaves, the same office that installed it takes the call.
