What a project like this involves
A video project distributes the sources from the rack to the displays, so a single cable box, streamer or movie server serves several rooms and every screen gets the same remote and the same menu.
Outdoor screens, where they exist, get their own exposure-rated display and a run back to the rack.
- Video. Displays in the rooms that want them, with the sources distributed from the rack so one box serves several screens.
- Distributed audio. Speakers in the ceilings and walls, zoned by room, with the amplification in the rack and one app or keypad to pick the source.
- Networking. A wired backbone with ceiling-mounted access points placed for coverage, a managed switch, and a separate lane for the smart devices.
- Security. A monitored alarm panel with door, window and motion sensors, keypads at the entries, and the panel tied into the control system.
- Surveillance. Cameras at the entries and the perimeter recording locally, viewable on the phone and on the house screens.
