IntegrateIT carries and installs Cabasse across the Kansas City metro — the French maker whose entire argument is the coaxial point source, from the spherical La Sphère down to the Archipel speakers that go in a ceiling. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: Cabasse is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized Cabasse dealer. What we are is the people who decide whether this brand is the right answer for your room, place it for the way the room is actually used, and run the calibration afterwards. The thing worth knowing before any model number is the idea the company is built on. Cabasse publishes that its patented coaxial design makes “all sound waves emanate from a single point source, ensuring they propagate in a coherent and natural way”, and it states the consequence it is selling: “optimal listening even if you’re not positioned exactly in the middle of the two speakers.” That is a claim about where people stand, not about frequency response — which is why it is interesting here. The Kansas City great room, with an island on one side, a sofa run on the other and a dining table at the end, is precisely the shape that punishes a speaker with a sweet spot. The company has been at this a while: founded in 1950 by Georges Cabasse, based in Brest, with its own anechoic chamber and a high-end speaker workshop on the Technopole de Brest site.

What we carry and install from Cabasse

These are the families we specify here, and what each one is for:

• La Sphère and La Sphère Evo. The spherical four-way coaxial loudspeakers Cabasse calls its Masterpiece — the point-source idea taken to its literal conclusion, since a sphere gives the sound no cabinet edge to diffract off. A statement object as much as a loudspeaker, and specified as such.
• The Pearl family — the connected version of the same idea. The Pearl, The Pearl Akoya, The Pearl Pelegrina and The Pearl Myuki, with The Pearl Sub for the low end. Each is an active coaxial sphere with streaming and room correction built in, run from Cabasse’s StreamControl app. The honest use case is a primary bedroom, a study or a dining room that deserves real sound and does not deserve a rack.
• Rialto and Amp 240 S. Rialto is the wireless bookshelf pair; the Amp 240 S is the integrated amplifier Cabasse publishes for the passive cabinets. Between them, the small system that does not need a closet.
• Signature Acoustic cabinets. Murano and Murano Alto, the Minorca MC40 and Antigua MC170 bookshelves, and the Java MC40 and Jersey MC170 floorstanders. The conventional boxes for a two-channel room, and the front stage of a media room that wants speakers you can see.
• Lifestyle satellites — Baltic 5, Riga 2, iO3 and Eole 4. Each published in on-stand, on-base, on-wall and in-ceiling versions depending on the model, which is what makes them useful in a distributed system: the same voice can sit on a bracket in one room and in the ceiling of the next. Cabasse also publishes 5.1 packs built from Eole 4 and Alcyone 3.
• Archipel — the in-ceiling range. Archipel 13 ICD, 13 ICP and the 70V 13 ICP TR at the smaller aperture; Archipel 17 ICD, 17 ICP and the dual-driver 17 ICPS above them. This is the family that carries the coaxial argument into the parts of a house nobody wants to look at.
• Built-in cabinets — Antigua IW and Minorca MC IW. The in-wall versions of the Signature Acoustic bookshelves, for a room that wants that cabinet’s character inside the wall plane.
• Zef 13 and Zef 17 — on-wall and outdoor. Each with a TR transformer version for a 70V run, which is the architecture a long outdoor perimeter or a commercial patio usually wants.
• Subwoofers — Santorin, Lipari and Orion. Santorin 25, Santorin 30-200, Santorin 30-500 and Santorin 38, with the Lipari 21 and Orion below them. Placement gets measured rather than chosen by cabinetry, here as everywhere.
• StreamControl and CRCS room correction. Cabasse publishes that StreamControl is “100% developed by Cabasse in France”, handles multi-room, and that CRCS is a patented automatic room correction system using an integrated microphone. We run it as the last step of a setup, never as a substitute for placement.

We specify and install to order — we hold no shelf stock, and with a French line that matters more than usual: models, finishes and lead time get confirmed in writing on the proposal before anything is ordered.

How we design the line in

• Specify it for the room it is good at. The point-source argument pays off where listeners are spread out and nobody gets the ideal chair — the open plan, the kitchen-and-hearth-room volume, the long gallery. In a dedicated room with one row of seats aimed at a screen, other lines we carry are the better buy, and we will say so.
• Lead time is part of the design. A line without a published US availability statement gets its delivery confirmed before the drywall schedule depends on it. That is a procurement decision made at design, not a surprise at trim-out.
• Back boxes and brackets at rough-in. Archipel and the in-wall cabinets want their enclosure, bracket and cable path settled while the ceiling is open — part of the pre-wire, not a retrofit conversation.
• Eight ohms or 70V is a site decision. The Zef TR models exist for the long runs, and choosing between the two architectures happens on the plan rather than at the amplifier.
• Correction after placement, not instead of it. CRCS is a good engine and it is still the last step. Layout, treatment where the room needs it, levels and distances, then the measurement, then listening. What we set gets written down.
• One press in front of all of it. We are a Control4 Platinum Dealer with a Control4 Certified Showroom and a Crestron Elite Partner with programming done in house, so an active Cabasse system joins the house rather than living in its own app.

Where it sits beside the lines we also carry

Cabasse is the answer for a room that refuses to have a sweet spot, and for a client who wants an object as well as a loudspeaker. Bowers & Wilkins is the broad one-brand-everywhere range and MartinLogan is the electrostatic route for a dedicated listening room. Triad and James by Sonance are built to order for the jobs where the opening or the finish will not bend, TruAudio covers the volume architectural and landscape work, and where the brief forbids a grille at all we are an authorized Sonance dealer.
