IntegrateIT carries and installs TruAudio across the Kansas City metro — the in-ceiling and in-wall speakers that go through the bulk of a house, and one of the deeper landscape catalogues in the trade. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: TruAudio is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized TruAudio dealer. What we are is the people who draw the zone map, set the brackets while the ceiling is open, run the conduit while the trench is still open outside, and tune it once the house is finished. The useful thing to know about this brand is who it was designed for. TruAudio publishes that it was founded by custom integrators — “SINCE 1999” on its own about page, a division of SoundVision Technologies — and it shows in the hardware: tool-less TruGrip mounting, QuickConnect terminations, pre-construction brackets, and a frameless grille family that looks the same from a hallway to a primary bath. None of that changes how a speaker sounds. All of it changes how long a trim-out takes across thirty openings, which is a real number on a real job.

What we carry and install from TruAudio

These are the families we specify here, and what each one is for:

• Ghost Series — the architectural line. G71 and G72 at seven inch, G91 and G92 at nine inch with an eight-inch cut-out, and the dual-voice-coil GD71 and GD72 for a room that can only take one speaker. Carbon fibre or polypropylene woofer, tool-less TruGrip mounting, frameless grille. The backbone of most of what we build on whole-house audio.
• Phantom Series. PP-6 and PP-8 with polypropylene woofers, PG-6 and PG-8 with glass fibre, and the dual-silk-tweeter PDP-6 and PDP-8 — several with weatherproof-treated ELEMENT versions, which is the model to specify for a covered porch, a pool bath or a steam room rather than hoping an indoor speaker survives.
• Shadow Series — SP-6 and SP-8. TruAudio publishes this one as designed for large-scale work where quantity, consistency and install speed are the constraints. On a production build or a light-commercial fit-out, that is exactly the right brief.
• LF Series — LFR and LFS. Four-inch round and square in-ceiling models the size of a light fixture, for a powder room, a closet or a hallway where a six-inch grille would look like a mistake.
• WP Series — WP-6 and WP-8. The in-wall pair, two-way with a one-inch silk tweeter and TruGrip mounting, for rooms where the ceiling is not available.
• Elite, GHT and REV — the theater families. ELITE26 and ELITE46 are the in-wall LCR models with carbon fibre woofers and a paintable grille; GHT-55P, GHT-66P and GHT-SUR-P are the in-wall home-theater set; REV71, REV72 and their SUR versions are angled seven-inch in-ceiling models with a pivoting tweeter and midrange, which is what makes them work as the overhead layer in a Dolby Atmos layout. The R65 is the simpler angled in-ceiling LCR below them.
• SB-Adapt — the custom-length soundbar. SB-ADAPT-S and SB-ADAPT-L are passive LCR bars built to the width of the television, with TruAudio’s TruMount locking system. The right answer under a display where a conventional centre channel will not fit.
• Subwoofers, indoors. DFS-10 and DFS-12 are the down-firing powered models in black or white; TREMOR-FX is the sealed in-wall passive model with a paintable metal grille; IC-SUB-8 fits a standard eight-inch ceiling cut-out; and BP-SUB-12PAK is a twelve-inch bandpass in-ceiling subwoofer that ships with the TRU-S500DSP amplifier. Four ways to get low end into a media room with nothing standing on the floor.
• Outdoor surface mount — OP and OL. The OP6 wall-mount model with TruAudio’s Quick Lock bracket for a house eave, and the OL Series for commercial patios, including 70V/100V models with an adjustable aiming bracket.
• Landscape — Acoustiscape, the bollard and the rock. AS-1, AS-2 and AS-3 satellites at four-and-a-half, six-and-a-half and eight inch, and the three-tweeter AS-360, all switchable between eight ohms and 70V; an eight-inch rock speaker (RK-8-GY); and the Tempest Tower bollard, published as a 250-watt outdoor line array with sixteen tweeters, four mid-woofers and a built-in ten-inch bandpass subwoofer. This is the outdoor audio half of the catalogue.
• Outdoor subwoofers — SubTerrain Pro and Hardscape. ST-10PRO and ST-12PRO bury underground with a discreet above-ground port; the HS-SUB-12 sits in a cabinet or a planting bed in brown or tan, with a 70V tap, for a site where digging is not an option.
• UltraScape — the packaged landscape system. UltraScape10 and UltraScape12 ship a burial subwoofer with four satellites and scale to eight satellites and two subwoofers, with matching ULTRA10 and ULTRA12 expansion pairs.
• Commercial — BeatDrop and CL. BD-8 is an eight-inch pendant with 70V/100V taps and tool-less hanging kits for an open-structure room; the CL Series is the in-ceiling commercial pair, including a UL-listed model, for a restaurant or an office fit-out.
• Amplification — D2, D16, AMP-3512 and TRU-S500DSP. The D2 is a two-channel amplifier with HDMI eARC for a television or an outdoor zone; the D16 is a sixteen-channel, eight-zone amplifier with a subwoofer output per zone; the TRU-S500DSP is the mono subwoofer amplifier with DSP presets for TruAudio’s own passive subwoofers.

We specify and install to order — we hold no shelf stock. Two names the trade still uses are retired: the B23 in-wall theater models, which TruAudio’s own Elite page describes as legacy, and the Trunami subwoofer, which the Tremor page names as its predecessor. Neither is specified on new work.

How we design the line in

• The zone map first, the model last. Where somebody stands, what they want to hear there and who else has to live with it decides the layout. Choosing between a Ghost and a Phantom is the easier problem and the smaller one.
• Tier the house honestly. Shadow or Phantom through the hallway, laundry, bath and office; Ghost in the great room and the primary suite. Spending the same amount in every zone is how a house ends up with good speakers in a closet.
• Brackets at rough-in, conduit while the trench is open. Pre-construction brackets and cable paths belong in the pre-wire, and landscape conduit belongs in the landscaper’s schedule rather than in a lawn that has already been sodded. That coordination is most of what a landscape audio job actually is.
• Eight ohms or 70V is a site decision. Short runs around a patio are fine at low impedance; a long perimeter, a large property or a commercial site is where 70V starts winning, and most of the TruAudio landscape range is switchable. That gets decided on the plan, not at the amplifier.
• Weather rating matched to the actual room. A covered porch, a pool bath and a steam shower are three different environments. The ELEMENT-treated Phantom models and the outdoor families exist for exactly that, and specifying an indoor speaker into a wet room is a warranty conversation waiting to happen.
• One press in front of all of it. We are a Control4 Platinum Dealer with a Control4 Certified Showroom and a Crestron Elite Partner with programming done in house, so every zone that matters gets a keypad on the wall rather than an app somebody has to find.

Where it sits beside the lines we also carry

TruAudio is the practical spread: deep enough to cover a large house and its landscape without changing brands, and built to install quickly. Bowers & Wilkins is the range to reach for when the listening room drives the whole specification, and MartinLogan is the electrostatic route. Triad and James by Sonance are both built to order for the jobs where the opening or the finish will not bend, and where the brief forbids a grille entirely we are an authorized Sonance dealer. Wisdom Audio and JBL Synthesis are the reference theater lines, Cabasse is the coaxial point-source alternative, and on a patio that is the whole project it is usually Coastal Source. We carry the whole spread, so the recommendation can be about the house rather than about what we happen to stock.
