IntegrateIT carries and installs MartinLogan across the Kansas City metro — the electrostatic panels that make a listening room worth sitting in, and the architectural families that put the same tweeter technology in the ceilings of the rest of the house. One precision first, because the trade is sloppy about this word: MartinLogan is a line we carry and install under distribution, not one we hold our own dealer agreement on, so we do not call ourselves an authorized MartinLogan dealer. What we are is the people who place the panels for the seat rather than for the furniture plan, run power where a panel needs it, and calibrate the room after the rugs are down. The thing worth knowing before any model number is what the company actually builds. MartinLogan is an electrostatic loudspeaker company first — its own stated philosophy is Truth in Sound — and the panel is a genuinely different transducer: a large, very light diaphragm driven across its whole surface instead of a cone pushed from behind. That buys a kind of clarity, and it costs you placement freedom. Below the panels, the Folded Motion tweeter carries the same idea into conventional cabinets — and into the in-wall and in-ceiling families, which is why a MartinLogan house can sound like one house instead of three.

What we carry and install from MartinLogan

These are the families we specify here, and what each one is for:

• Masterpiece Series — the electrostatics. Neolith, then Renaissance ESL 15A, Expression ESL 13A, Impression ESL 11A and Classic ESL 9, with the Illusion ESL C34A and Focus ESL C18 centre channels. The reason somebody builds a room around this brand, and the front stage of a two-channel system that also happens to watch films.
• ElectroMotion Series. ElectroMotion ESL and ESL X floorstanders, the ElectroMotion ESL C centre, and the EFX and FX2 surround models — electrostatic and Folded Motion in one range, for a room that wants panels without the Masterpiece footprint.
• Motion XT Series and Motion Series. Motion XT F200 and F100 floorstanders, XT B100 standmount and XT C100 centre at the upper end; Motion F10, F20, B10, C10 and MP10, the Motion 2i, 4i, 6i and 8i compacts, and the Motion SLM, SLM XL and SLM X3 flat models for under a television. Conventional cabinets, the same tweeter family, far more placement freedom — which is what a media room usually needs.
• Motion Foundation Series. Foundation F1 and F2 floorstanders, B1 and B2 standmounts, and the C1 centre. The sensible tier for a bonus room or a second system.
• Masterpiece CI — the reference architectural line. Statement 40XW, Monument 7XW, Tribute 5XW and Icon 3XW in the wall, Sistine 4XC in the ceiling, with published on-wall frames for Monument 7XW, Tribute 5XW and Icon 3XW where a masonry or concrete wall cannot be cut into. This is the built-in answer for a dedicated theater whose front stage has to vanish into the wall plane.
• Motion XT CI and Motion CI. Motion XTW6-LCR, XTW5-LCR and XTW6 in the wall and XTC8 and XTC8-HT in the ceiling; below them Motion MW6 and MW4-LCR in the wall and Motion MC4, MC6, MC8 and MC6-HT in the ceiling. The two tiers most whole-house systems are actually built from.
• Helos Series and Installer Series. Helos 12 and Helos 22 are compact in-ceiling models with aimable tweeters. Installer Series covers the rest of the plan — IC3, IC6, IC8, IC6-HT and IC6-ST in the ceiling, IW5-LCR and IW6 in the wall, and the all-weather IC3-AW and IC8-AW for a covered porch or a pool bath.
• Variable Aperture System. A speaker and a subwoofer designed to work together through a very small opening — the answer when the ceiling plan has already been committed to something else and there is almost no room left for audio.
• Subwoofers — floor and in-wall. Depth 212 and 215, Grotto 12 and 15, Abyss 8 and 10, Dynamo 10 and 12, and Dynamo Foundation 10 and 12 on the floor; Dynamo IW-S (sealed) and Dynamo IW-O (open back, with an optional high-output back box) in the wall. Most of the powered models are published as ARC Ready for MartinLogan’s ARC Genesis room correction.
• Outdoor Living Series. The Outdoor Living Foundation 8.1 and Outdoor Living 4.1 systems, Outdoor Sat 40 and Sat 60 satellites, the Outdoor Living Foundation Sub 8 and the Dynamo Outdoor Sub 100 and 120, plus ground stakes, surface-mount brackets and a burial conduit junction. • MDA Series and MP Series. The MDA16 and MDA8 matrix distribution amplifiers and the DA12 distribution amplifier, with room correction per zone, and the MP500 V2 DSP amplifier. Useful to know about, though on most of our jobs the rack is already a Control4 or Crestron matrix and the decision is made there.

We specify and install to order — we hold no shelf stock. Finishes, grille colours, back boxes and on-wall frames are settled on the drawing rather than on the install day.

How we design the line in

• A panel needs a seat, and a plan. An electrostatic is directional and wants room behind it. If the great room can only put speakers flat against a wall behind a sofa run, the honest recommendation is a Motion cabinet rather than a panel that will never be heard properly. We would rather say that on the walk than after delivery.
• Power and cable while the wall is open. Panels want a receptacle where they stand; architectural models want a back box, a bracket and a cable path. All of it belongs in the pre-wire, decided with the electrician rather than negotiated at trim-out.
• Two tiers through the house, deliberately. Motion CI or Installer Series in the hallway, laundry, bath and office; Motion XT CI or Masterpiece CI where somebody sits down. Spending the same amount in every room is how houses end up with fine speakers in a closet and ordinary ones where the party happens.
• Subwoofer placement is measured, not guessed. Two smaller subwoofers placed by measurement beat one larger one placed by cabinetry almost every time, and in an Atmos room it is normally more than one regardless.
• Correction last, and on top of treatment. ARC Genesis is a good engine and it is still the last step: layout, then treatment, then levels and distances, then measurement, then listening. What we set gets written down.
• One press in front of all of it. We are a Control4 Platinum Dealer with a Control4 Certified Showroom and a Crestron Elite Partner with programming done in house, so the listening room has a scene rather than a stack of remotes.

Where it sits beside the lines we also carry

MartinLogan is the choice when the brief is a room to listen in. Where a design brief forbids a grille at all, we are an authorized Sonance dealer and the Invisible Series gets skim-coated into the wall instead. The rest of what we carry answers narrower questions: Bowers & Wilkins is the broader one-brand-everywhere range, and Triad is built to order and painted to match. In a reference cinema the answer is usually Wisdom Audio or JBL Synthesis; James by Sonance is the built-to-order small-aperture and outdoor line, TruAudio carries the volume architectural and landscape work, Cabasse is the coaxial point-source alternative, and outside it is normally Coastal Source. Amplification behind any of them is often NAD or a matrix in the rack. We carry the whole spread, so the recommendation can be about the room rather than about what we happen to stock.
