Crestron is a gatekept channel — unlike Control4 (which has a broad dealer network), Crestron will only sell to dealers who pass their training certification, maintain a service-quality scorecard, and commit to in-house programming capability. Crestron-authorized dealers are the path to genuine Crestron equipment and service, and Elite Partner is a named tier in that program. Buying Crestron gear off Amazon or a discount integrator means no firmware updates, no factory support, no warranty.
How is Crestron different from Control4 in a Kansas City home?
Control4 is the right answer for most luxury homes — turnkey, easy to use, broad ecosystem. Crestron is the right answer when the project wants bespoke programming and deeper integration with commercial-grade subsystems (HVAC zones, motorized everything, shading scenarios, surveillance recorders).
