★Authorized Dealer
Focal · Kansas City.
IntegrateIT is an authorized Focal dealer across the Kansas City metro — cabinet loudspeakers for a listening room, integration speakers that disappear into the walls of the rest of the house, and the theater in between. The dealer agreement is our own. Beyond the paperwork, we are the people who place the speakers, size the amplification, wire it, tie it into the control system and measure the room afterwards. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What we specify and install from Focal
The ranges below are the ones on Focal’s own catalogue today, grouped the way a house gets designed — the room first, the range second:
- Utopia III Evo. The Utopia cabinet range, with a Utopia III Evo M listed alongside it; we would place it in a dedicated listening room that has been designed around the pair.
- Sopra. A cabinet range we would place in a serious two-channel room or across the front of a dedicated theater with the depth to hold it.
- Kanta. Focal’s linen-cone range; a fit for a living room that doubles as the listening room.
- Aria Evo X. Linen-membrane drivers in a range that suits a family room or a media room, front stage and surrounds from one family.
- Vestia and Theva. The entry points to Focal’s cabinet speakers; we would place them in a second listening space — an office, a bedroom, a bonus room.
- Dôme Flax and Sib Evo. Compact home-cinema satellites for a bedroom theater or a media room where a cabinet speaker has to stay small.
- Subwoofers. Focal’s own subwoofer range, placed and integrated on measurement rather than by ear.
- Utopia Cinema. Focal’s integration range for home cinema; we would build it into the walls of a dedicated theater where the speakers should not be seen.
- 1000 Series. Integration loudspeakers for music and cinema; a fit for a theater or a listening space where the room is serious and the speakers still have to disappear.
- 300 Series. Compact integration speakers with Focal’s flax-membrane drivers; we would place them in the main living zones of whole-house audio.
- 100 Series. Compact integration speakers for general zones, including versions Focal makes for bathrooms, and weather-resistant outdoor versions.
- On Wall. A slim flax-membrane on-wall range; it goes beside a wall-mounted television where in-wall is not possible.
- Littora. Focal’s outdoor range for decks, terraces, gardens and pool areas; the backbone of an outdoor audio zone.
- Astral 16. Focal’s audio-video processor and amplifier — one of the options for the rack behind a Focal theater.
We specify and install to order. Exact models, finishes and quantities go on your proposal from the room drawing, not from this page.
How we design the line in
- The room decides the range. Room size, seating distance and how loud the owner actually listens decide the speaker, and the speaker decides the amplification. Choosing the speaker from a catalogue before the room is drawn is how a system ends up wrong in both directions.
- Placement is measured. Distances to the walls and the listening seat are drawn before the electrician roughs in, so the speaker wire and the back boxes land where the speaker needs to be, not where the stud happened to be.
- The room is part of the sound. Hard surfaces and glass undo a good speaker. In a theater or listening room, acoustic treatment is in the same scope as the speakers.
- We measure after we install. Every room is measured and calibrated at handover, and the subwoofers are integrated on the measurement rather than by ear.
- Our workmanship is covered. Every install carries our five-year workmanship warranty from the final invoice.
Where Focal sits beside the lines we also carry
We carry more than one loudspeaker line on purpose, so the recommendation can be about the room. In a listening room the comparison is often Focal against Bowers & Wilkins, MartinLogan or Cabasse, and it is decided by listening and by the room, not by a spec sheet. In a large dedicated theater the conversation can move to JBL Synthesis or Wisdom Audio, with a Trinnov processor in the rack. And the amplification behind a Focal pair is often NAD.
Common questions
Who sells Focal speakers in Kansas City?
IntegrateIT (Overland Park, KS) is an authorized Focal dealer across the Kansas City metro, on both sides of the state line — Focal loudspeakers specified for the room, installed, wired to the right amplification and measured afterwards. We specify and install to order rather than selling boxes off a shelf, so the model list on your proposal comes off the room drawing. Phone: (913) 804-7575 or office@integrateit.tech.
What are Focal’s current home loudspeaker ranges?
On the cabinet side, Focal’s own catalogue lists Utopia III Evo (with a Utopia III Evo M alongside it), Sopra, Kanta, Aria Evo X, Vestia and Theva, plus a subwoofer range, and for home cinema the compact Dôme Flax and Sib Evo. On the integration side — speakers built into the house — it lists Utopia Cinema, the 1000 Series, the 300 Series, the 100 Series and an On Wall range indoors, and Littora and the weather-resistant 100 Series outdoors. We work from that current list and name the exact models on the proposal, because a range page ages faster than a house does.
Can Focal go in the walls and ceiling, or is it only cabinet speakers?
Both. Focal runs a separate integration range for exactly that: Utopia Cinema for a dedicated theater, the 1000 Series where the room is serious about sound and the speakers still have to disappear, the 300 Series with Focal’s flax-membrane drivers in a compact format, the 100 Series for general zones — including versions Focal makes for bathrooms — and On Wall for a slim speaker beside a wall-mounted television. The useful thing about staying inside one manufacturer is that the voicing carries from the listening room into the walls of the rest of the house.
Is Focal a good fit for a home theater?
It can cover the whole room. In a dedicated theater the conversation is usually Utopia Cinema or the 1000 Series in the walls, or a cabinet range like Sopra or Kanta across the front where the room has the depth for it. In a smaller media room or a bedroom, Dôme Flax and Sib Evo are the compact satellites. Focal also lists the Astral 16, an audio-video processor and amplifier. Which processor drives the room — the Astral 16, a Trinnov, or something else — is a channel-count and room-correction decision we make on the drawing, not a brand-loyalty one.
Do Focal speakers work with Control4 or Crestron?
The loudspeakers themselves are not the part that integrates — the amplifier, processor or matrix driving them is. That is where we do the work: the zones appear in your existing Control4 or Crestron interface, a scene can take the music with it, and the keypad on the wall controls the system rather than only a phone app. We size the amplification to the speaker and the room, so a Focal pair is not left underpowered by whatever happened to be in the rack.
Can Focal go outside?
Yes. Focal lists two outdoor ranges: Littora, for decks, terraces, gardens and pool areas, and outdoor versions of the 100 Series built to resist the weather. A Kansas City patio sees heat, freeze and storms in the same year, so we mount, wire and seal for that, and design coverage across the space rather than putting one loud speaker by the door. The outdoor audio page covers the design side.
The speaker is chosen by the room. Let’s look at the room.
