Levasy · River-bottom country
Levasy · dependable automation for country properties.
IntegrateIT is a home automation, networking and surveillance integrator serving Levasy, Missouri, far enough east of the design center at 15108 Glenwood Ave, Overland Park that we plan full days. The distances here are real, so we solve them with buried cable and fiber: wired access points at each structure, weather-rated cameras on a long drive, surge protection in the rack. Control4 Platinum Dealer, Crestron Elite Partner, Lutron Certified Dealer, CEDIA member, HTA Certified. Five-year workmanship warranty. (913) 804-7575.
Down in the Missouri River bottoms of far eastern Jackson County, Levasy is farmland and a handful of blocks, closer to fields than to anything the metro thinks of as a suburb. Properties out here are large, buildings are spread out, and the nearest technician is not down the street, which changes what a good system looks like. Distance from our Overland Park design center means we plan full days here rather than quick stops, so the work gets finished in one visit. What we install has to keep running on its own between them.
Installing in Levasy
What is different about Levasy houses
Installing here is different because the distances are real. A house, a shop, a barn and a gate can sit hundreds of feet apart, and no wireless product bridges that honestly over a season of weather. We solve it with buried cable and fiber where the run demands it, wired access points at each structure, and outdoor-rated hardware everywhere the weather reaches. Planning the trenching alongside any other digging on the property saves more money than any equipment choice in the proposal.
Reliability matters more here than feature count. When a system is an hour from the shop, the design priority becomes fewer failure points, clean power with surge protection, and remote monitoring that tells us something is wrong before you notice. We document the install thoroughly and label everything, so a problem can be diagnosed over the phone rather than guessed at. Equipment gets chosen for service life and parts availability rather than for whatever is newest that year.
Cameras and gates carry more weight on a rural property than they do in town. Coverage tends to focus on the drive, the outbuildings and the equipment yard rather than a front porch, with recording kept on site so it does not depend on a cloud subscription or an unreliable upload. Inside, the houses out here are usually straightforward to work in, and whole-home audio and lighting go in cleanly. The difficult engineering is almost always outdoors, between buildings.

Questions from Levasy homeowners
Do you really come out this far east?
- Yes, though we plan for it. Levasy is a long drive from our Overland Park design center, so we schedule full working days here rather than short visits, and we aim to finish an install in one trip. The site walk costs nothing and is the visit where we work out cable routes, structures and distances before anything is quoted.
How do I get internet coverage out to the barn?
- With wire, not with hope. Wireless repeaters lose too much across that distance and fail in weather, so we bury cable or fiber to each building and put a wired access point at the far end. If a trench is already going in for something else, run it then. Cameras and controls out there get their own lane so they stay dependable.
If something breaks, how long am I waiting?
- Usually not long, because most things get fixed without a truck. The network and control system are monitored, so we often see a problem before you call and correct it remotely. When hands are genuinely needed, we schedule a visit. Every system carries a five-year workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranties on the products, and our support for as long as you own the system.
Can I see the cameras when nobody is at the property?
- Yes, and that is the usual request out here. Recording stays on site so the footage exists whether or not the upload is cooperating, and you view it from one app wherever you are. Coverage is aimed at the drive, the gate and the outbuildings rather than scattered evenly. Lighting and locks can join the same app so an empty property still looks lived in.
