Fiber backbone (OS2 single-mode). Riser-to-riser and IDF-to-MDF. CommScope / Corning fusion-spliced and tested per ANSI/TIA-526-7.
Structured copper to every suite. Cat6a CMP, 2-jack minimum per unit, more for offices. Belden / Panduit certified to TIA-568 Class EA.
VLAN-segregated tenant Wi-Fi. Per-tenant VLAN, captive portal and bandwidth shaping. No tenant sees another tenant's traffic.
Amenity and common-area Wi-Fi. Lobby, pool, fitness, conference rooms — separate guest VLAN, scheduled SSID rotation.
Managed PoE++ for cameras, access and signage. Single budget across surveillance, access readers, digital signage and APs.
24×7 monitoring and on-call. 30-min first response, 4-hour on-site SLA. Quarterly health-check and annual infrastructure audit.

Common questions

How much does MDU networking cost in Kansas City?

It depends on unit count and building size, fiber versus copper backbone, and whether tenant Wi-Fi and monitoring are in scope. A thirty-unit building and a mixed-use tower with retail are different projects. Send the building plans and we return a fixed bid.

What platforms do you install for MDU networking?

Ubiquiti UniFi across the building — standard UniFi for boutique buildings (single dashboard, dealer-grade, lower TCO), UniFi Enterprise Campus switching and Enterprise Fortress Gateways for larger tenant counts. Passive infrastructure: CommScope SYSTIMAX or Corning ClearCurve for fiber, Belden / Panduit Cat6a for copper. Wi-Fi: UniFi U7-Pro throughout.

Do you do tenant Wi-Fi with VLAN segregation?

Yes — every tenant gets a dedicated VLAN with captive portal, per-tenant bandwidth shaping, and full traffic isolation from neighbors. Optional per-tenant SSID with PSK printed on the lease (or rotation via PMS integration). Amenity Wi-Fi (lobby, pool, fitness) on a separate guest VLAN.

What is your SLA for monitored response?

Standard MDU SLA: 24×7 monitored, 30-minute first response to monitored event, on-site within 4 business hours for circuit-down. Upgrade SLA available for buildings with 9–5 staffed offices: 1-hour on-site response during business hours, evening and weekend on-call. Quarterly health-check reports and annual infrastructure audit included.
