Why standard speakers fail in Kansas City

Plenty of “outdoor-rated” speakers are indoor designs in a UV-resistant shell. The cabinet survives the sun, but the connection point does not survive the water. Water finds the terminal block, the copper oxidizes, and the speaker degrades over a few seasons rather than failing cleanly on one day.
