What we install

Daylight harvesting. Perimeter zones auto-dim as daylight contributes, usually the largest energy win on a retrofit.
Occupancy-based shedding. Unoccupied zones drop to off (IECC compliant) or to a configurable holdover level.
Per-zone scheduling. Building occupancy modes — open / occupied / cleaning / closed — drive lighting state automatically.
BACnet/IP BMS integration. Zones, scenes, occupancy state, lux levels exposed as BACnet objects to Johnson Metasys, Honeywell EBI, Schneider StruxureWare.
Conference and huddle scene control. Preset-button keypads tied to AV scene state: Presentation, Video Call, Whiteboard, Lights On.
Energy reporting and metering. Athena exposes per-zone energy data for ENERGY STAR reporting and tenant submetering.

Common questions

How much does commercial lighting control cost in Kansas City?

It depends on square footage and fixture count, whether the retrofit is wireless (Vive) or wired (Athena), and how deeply it ties into the building’s systems. Existing fixtures usually stay; a full LED relamp adds the fixture cost. Send the fixture schedule and we return a fixed bid.

What lighting-control platforms do you install for commercial?

Lutron Vive — wireless, no new conduit required, ideal for retrofit. Lutron Athena — wired-or-wireless, larger systems with full BACnet/IP, daylight harvesting, occupancy-based shedding, and Lutron’s commercial-grade scheduling engine. Crestron 3-Series for buildings where Crestron AV is also in play. IECC energy-code compliant by default.

How much energy does daylight harvesting actually save?

It saves meaningfully in spaces with usable daylight — perimeter offices, retail with a storefront, atriums — and occupancy-based shedding stacks on top of it. Rather than quote an industry average, we model your building from the fixture schedule and the hours of use, and show the arithmetic with the bid.

Do you integrate with our BMS?

Yes — Lutron Athena and Vive both expose BACnet/IP for BMS integration. Common targets: Johnson Metasys, Honeywell EBI, Schneider StruxureWare. We coordinate with your existing BMS contractor; Lutron exposes lighting zones, scenes, occupancy state, and lux levels as BACnet objects.
